    Position Summary
    We're looking for a Project Biller to join our growing accounting team in our Berlin, NJ office. This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting engineering or consulting projects who enjoys working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment where billing accuracy and financial organization are critical.
    While billing is the primary focus of the role, this position offers the opportunity to expand into broader project accounting responsibilities over time. You'll partner closely with Project Managers across our Transportation practice, helping ensure projects remain financially healthy while supporting accounts payable, accounts receivable, reporting, and other accounting functions.

    Responsibilities
    • Manage the complete project billing process for transportation engineering projects.
    • Partner with Project Managers to support the financial management and billing of a diverse portfolio of transportation projects.
    • Help maintain financial accuracy across DOT, Turnpike Authority, township, design, structural, and construction management projects.
    • Process invoices and maintain billing schedules.
    • Review timesheets and expense reports for accuracy and completeness.
    • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
    • Perform credit card reconciliation and other monthly accounting activities.
    • Generate monthly revenue reports and support project financial reporting.
    • Monitor job costs against budget and collections to determine project status.
    • Work closely with project teams to ensure timely and accurate billing.

    Qualifications
    • 5+ years of accounting or project billing experience, preferably within the Architecture, Engineering, or Construction (AEC) industry.
    • Experience with project billing and invoicing.
    • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
    • Experience reviewing employee timesheets and expense reports.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines.

    Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience using Deltek VantagePoint.
    • Understanding of ASC 606 revenue recognition.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Experience supporting engineering or professional services firms.

Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and geographic location.
