**This position is fully on-site in either Warrenton, VA, Washington DC or Fort Washington, MD - ACTIVE TS/SCI is required

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Red Had Linux System Administrator who would be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the Cameo systems in an AWS EC2 environment, maintaining the integrity and accessibility of all server resources, hardware, systems, and key processes. 

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Configuration and operational support of RHEL servers in an AWS EC2 environment
  • Install Linux and Windows servers in a virtualized environment, troubleshoot hardware/software installation and basic networking issues
  • Setting up and managing Linux and Windows systems, applications and environments and ensuring those systems comply with government security standards
  • Troubleshooting network hardware and software applications, OS upgrades, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services
  • Maintains a "customer focus" attitude to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Providing clear, concise, and timely communication with customers, supervisors, and project managers
  • Work within a team environment and attend meetings with other team members, customers, etc.
  • There are no travel requirements for this position.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Advanced Level hands on Experience with Red Hat and Linux, RHEL (7/8/9), Provisioning, Maintaining/Patching, Hardening - REQUIRED
  • VMware admin experience (including vCenter)
  • Experience using Linux based automation tools (Chef, Ansible)
  • Experience with AWS - specifically EC2 and S3 services - REQUIRED
  • Deploying Servers on AWS, AMI experience - REQUIRED 
  • Docker, Virtualization, Kubernetes, Containerization experience - REQUIRED
  • Experience with use cases, performance specification development and UML modeling preferred
  • SELinux
  • Infrastructure Components (e.g. Symantec Endpoint Protection, WSUS, RHEL Satellite, VMWare Update Mgr, SolarWinds) 
  • VMware Certified Professional, Data Center Virtualization 6 (VCP6-DCV) Certification
  • RHCSA or RHCSE Certification a plus 
  • Experience troubleshooting complex systems involving multiple servers, COTS products, NetApp, VMs, VDIs, and/or network issues
  • Experience with Network engineering technologies and as a network administrator
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex configuration problems or system issues
  • Knowledge of scripting skills (i.e. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, bash, etc.)
  • General working experience with firewalls (Cisco ASA) and creating ACLs
  • Experience with Cameo, Guacamole desired
  • Working experience troubleshooting cloud platforms - multi-tenant a plus
  • Familiar with scanning software ie. Tanium
  • Familiar with STIGs and compliance
  • Manage virtual machines and virtual infrastructure
  • Experience with monitoring and optimizing performance of virtualized environments
  • Experience in systems-of-systems definition, development, and integration
  • Ability to analyze high level needs

TECHNICIAL SKILL & CERTIFICATIONS:

  • RHCSA preferred, not required
  • IAT Level II Security Certification (e.g., Security + CE, CISSP, GSEC, SSCP, CCN) preferred, not required
  • AWS Certification or Experience preferred, not required

EDUCATION:  Bachelors with 3+ years of experience managing virtual/physical servers and LAN/SAN networked environments preferred

LOCATION: Full Time/ On-Site at Fort Washington MD, Washington, DC or in Warrenton, VA required

CLEARANCE REQUIRMENT:  Top Secret Clearance with SCI required

DOD 8570 REQUIREMENT: IAT - Level II preferred

SALARY RANGE: $130,000 to $145,000
