Job description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Business Data Analyst with strong Banking/Capital Markets experience to support enterprise data initiatives for a Front Office Investment Banking platform. This is a highly technical Business Analyst role requiring expertise in data modeling, Snowflake, SQL, source-to-target mapping, and close collaboration with business stakeholders, architects, data engineers, and development teams.

Required Experience
  • 12+ years of Business Analyst experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Capital Markets.
  • Strong experience supporting Front Office, Investment Banking, or Capital Markets applications.
  • Proven experience working with business users, Product Owners, Architects, Developers, and Data Engineers.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and workshop facilitation skills.
Required Technical Skills
  • Strong Technical/Data Business Analysis experience.
  • Snowflake (Mandatory) – data warehouse, schemas, tables, reporting, and data modeling.
  • Power BI and/or Tableau (Mandatory).
  • Strong SQL with experience in joins, window functions, CTEs, and data analysis.
  • Experience with Data Modeling, ER Diagrams, Cardinality, UML, and Workflow Diagrams.
  • Strong Source-to-Target Data Mapping experience.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data flows, system integrations, metadata, and data lineage.
  • Experience preparing BRDs, FRDs, User Stories, Use Cases, Process Flows, Functional Specifications, and Acceptance Criteria.
  • Experience with Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM).
  • Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience supporting Agile/Scrum delivery.
Preferred Skills
  • Databricks and Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
  • Data Quality, Data Profiling, and Data Reconciliation.
  • Data Catalog and Metadata Management.
  • Experience working with enterprise reporting platforms and data warehouses.
  • Basic knowledge of Python is a plus.

Work Schedule: Must be able to work during EST business hours. This role is open to remote candidates; however, candidates located in the NYC area who can work onsite in Manhattan 3 days per week will be given preference.
