This position is part of the Enterprise Data Services group and will work with the Digital Services program within the Office of Information Technology. The Digital Services program is essential for designing and overseeing the implementation of a customer-centric online application to simplify State government and digital services. While working alongside vendor contractors and the Digital Service program team, you will be relied upon for all aspects of data analysis and exploration while providing valuable analytical insights to support department initiatives and assist in making data-driven program decisions. This position will able be responsible for incorporating a repository of data from the online application into an existing warehouse and presenting data in PowerBI dashboards and reports.

Responsibilities  

  • Analyze and understand State requirements.
  • Participate as subject matter expert of source data, develop data catalogue, and perform user acceptance testing for Digital Services program.
  • Provide expertise for data sharing, data visualization, and understand, configure, and enforce access rules.
  • Understand KPIs and present related data in a meaningful way.
  • Help establish frequency and schedule of data extraction, review data quality, and adhere to transformation rules.
  • Develop reports, dashboards, and visualize data in a meaningful way based on given requirements.
  • Participate in project briefing and brainstorming.
  • Using detailed and general knowledge of the end-to-end workings of how systems work, assist in any testing, trouble-shooting, and help implement fixes to resolve poorly functioning processes.
  • Assist in solution documentation, diagrams, and technical specifications.

Skills Needed

  • Google Analytics experience.
  • Experience extracting data from source system to target data warehouse.
  • Expert knowledge of Power BI data visualization and analysis tools.
  • Five+ years of relevant experience in the following:

o             Extracting data from source system to target data warehouse.

o             Data analysis, quality, and reporting.

•             Expert knowledge of Power BI data visualization and analysis tools.

•             Ability to read and follow regulatory requirements on State and Federal levels.

•             Strong information architecture and integration strategy skills.

•             Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

•             Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
