This role leads a cross functional team and serves as a central orchestrator between business leaders, product managers, technology, and finance. Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead near-term digital portfolio management, developing and recommending roadmap execution sequencing based on value, capacity, dependencies, and strategic priorities
  • Design and facilitate executive decision forums—collaborating with digital operations for governance and reporting, framing trade-offs, and driving alignment on portfolio priorities and investment decisions
  • Own mid-range (1–3 year) digital strategic planning, connecting enterprise strategy to executable digital roadmaps for Consumer & Regional Banking
  • Continuously monitor competitor moves, fintech developments, and consumer banking trends; synthesize implications into actionable perspectives for senior leadership
  • Manage portfolio value forecasting, including aggregation of expected benefits across initiatives and scenario analysis to inform prioritization
  • Oversee development of business cases in partnership with business, product, finance, and technology stakeholders, ensuring adherence to common standards and methodologies
  • Establish and manage benefit realization tracking, holding initiative owners accountable to committed outcomes and surfacing variances proactively
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of digital strategy managers and analysts, building internal strategic consultancy capabilities
  • Support senior strategy leadership in providing strategic guidance to business and function leaders across Consumer & Regional Banking

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience in financial services, management consulting, or corporate strategy, including 2+ years of people leadership experience

Core Competencies

  • Commercially-oriented strategic thinker – Passion for understanding how digital investments create business value, with the ability to identify data to model, forecast, and test hypotheses
  • Portfolio and decision management expertise – Skilled at structuring complex investment trade-offs, sequencing roadmaps, and designing governance forums that produce clear, timely decisions
  • Storyteller with expert presentation abilities – Natural ability to build professional, concise presentations that tell clear, compelling stories to drive alignment with executive audiences
  • Financial acumen – Comfortable building and pressure-testing business cases, value forecasts, and benefit realization models in partnership with finance
  • Independent operator and people leader – Ability to take executive-level questions and proactively develop a perspective, while coaching a team to do the same
  • Highly organized – Uses tools and systems to manage a multi-initiative portfolio with varying deadlines such that progress can always be articulated, and risks or delays are proactively identified and communicated

Preferences

  • Financial Services industry experience – Experience working for a bank or consulting firm serving financial institutions; specific experience in consumer or retail banking a plus
