Associate General Counsel Location: Main Line Health - Radnor, PA (Hybrid)
Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid | Occasional evenings as needed | Local travel required
Compensation: $163,550.40 - $253,406.40 annually
Position Summary Could you be our next Associate General Counsel?
Reporting to the Senior Vice President & General Counsel, the Associate General Counsel provides strategic legal counsel across a broad range of matters supporting the operations of Main Line Health and its subsidiaries. This role partners with executive leadership, service line leaders, and key stakeholders to manage legal risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and support enterprise-wide initiatives.
Each Associate General Counsel maintains a defined area of subject matter focus aligned to departmental priorities. For this role, a key focus includes
Information Technology vendor management and general contracting, providing legal oversight and guidance on IT/IS vendor agreements, technology-related transactions, and enterprise contracting standards. This includes advising on contract structure, risk mitigation, data privacy and security considerations, and alignment with regulatory and organizational requirements.

Key Responsibilities - Provide legal counsel on healthcare regulatory matters, labor & employment, contracts, and corporate governance
- Advise on:
- Medical staff affairs
- Clinical and research activities
- Healthcare fraud and abuse (including Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law)
- Managed care contracting
- Privacy, security, and patient care concerns
- Quality, patient safety, and bioethical issues
- Billing, reimbursement, and transactional matters
- Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements, including IT/IS vendor and enterprise contracts
- Advise on technology-related agreements, including SaaS, data use, and vendor partnerships
- Collaborate with executive leadership, compliance, and cross-functional teams
- Support litigation strategy, dispute resolution, and risk mitigation efforts
- Develop and deliver training and presentations for employees and medical staff
- Support the General Counsel and Senior Counsel on complex transactions, governance, and business initiatives
Qualifications Experience - 5-10 years of legal experience required, with 5+ years in healthcare law
- Experience with IT/IS vendor agreements and general contracting required
- Experience with Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law required
- Experience in a large law firm setting preferred
- Prior relevant clinical or healthcare administrative experience may be considered in lieu of up to 2 years
Preferred Skills - Experience with AI Governance strongly preferred
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to manage complex, high-risk legal matters independently
Education - Bachelor's degree required
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school required
Licensure Active member of the
Pennsylvania Bar required
