    **Job Description:**Ryan Companies has an immediate hiring need for a Director of Safety. As this position will require as much as 50% weekday travel, this opportunity may be located at any number of current Ryan Companies offices in: Atlanta, Columbus, Ohio, Dallas, Denver, or Phoenix.The Safety Director will assist with and coordinate the formulation and promulgation of policies, rules and procedures and administers the safety protection programs as they apply to employee protection, public safety, equipment and property protection, occupational health and hazardous waste, and substance control while interfacing closely with Sector Field Coordinators, project field supervision and employees to implement the corporate safety program**Some things you can expect to do:*** Serves as technical advisor to Corporate Management and Field Supervision.* Responsible for managing staff of safety professionals.* Responsible for corporate safety and health program management, design and continual improvement.* Monitors construction activities and advises management on compliance with applicable regulatory rules, regulations and/or laws.* Manage the company safety training curriculum to include development of training courses and teaching of training sessions.* Responsible for all company claims management functions.* Travel to various job locations.**Some things we expect you should have:**A bachelor’s degree in safety/risk management and at least 10 years of construction safety experience.**You will really stand out if you have:*** Ability to work independently and productively with others.* Solid working understanding of OSHA related to the construction industry.* Good working knowledge of 3rd party contractor management data bases such as ISNet & Avetta.* Any mission critical or data center construction safety experience**Eligibility:**Position requires verification of employment to work in the U.S.**Benefits:*** Competitive Salary* Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits* Retirement and Savings Benefits* Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts* Life Insurance* Short-Term and Long-Term Disability* Educational Assistance* Paid Time Off (PTO)* Employee Assistance and Wellness Programs* Parenting Benefits* Employee Discount Programs* Pet insurance* Ryan Foundation – charitable matching funds* Paid Time for Volunteer Events*Disclaimer: Eligibility may vary based on factors such as role, hours worked, employment status, length of service, location, and other considerations.
