    Job Description:

    Ryan Companies US, Inc. has an immediate career opportunity for a Construction Project Manager I to join our National Mission Critical team!

    This individual is primarily responsible for managing designated project scopes and resources to meet overall project goals, budgets, and customer satisfaction requirements within the highly specialized mission-critical construction sector.

    Some things you can expect to do:

    • Client & Stakeholder Communication: Assist in building and maintaining positive relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Participate in owner/client meetings and provide regular project updates.

    • Contract & Scope Management: Assist in the negotiation and writing of subcontractor and vendor agreements. Review and process change orders, RFIs (Requests for Information), and submittals accurately and efficiently.

    • Project Execution & Financials: Track project financials, including cost reporting, forecasting, and budget maintenance. Assist in developing and updating the master project schedule to ensure key milestones are met.

    • Procurement Support: Execute the procurement strategy for assigned scopes of work. Prepare bid packages, level bids, and assist in awarding subcontracts.

    • Team Collaboration: Work closely with Superintendents, Project Engineers, and Safety Managers to ensure field operations align with project plans. Mentor and provide guidance to Project Engineers and Project Assistants.

    • Administrative Assurance:

      Ensure all project documentation and closeout materials are accurate, organized, and submitted promptly.

      Review and approve subcontractor invoices and assist with the monthly owner billing process.

      Ensure punch list items and warranty issues are tracked and resolved quickly.

    Additional Mission-Critical Responsibilities:

    • Technical Coordination: Work closely with MEP coordinators to ensure the seamless integration of heavy mechanical and electrical equipment (e.g., generators, UPS systems, switchgear, and precision cooling) standard in mission-critical facilities.

    • Strict Quality & Safety Compliance: Enforce rigorous QA/QC protocols and specific safety requirements unique to mission-critical environments, particularly regarding clean protocols, dust control, and working near energized environments.

    • Equipment Tracking: Closely monitor the procurement, manufacturing, and delivery schedules for long-lead specialized equipment to prevent delays in the critical path schedule.

    Job Requirements:
    • To be successful in this role, you must have a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management/Science, or equivalent work experience.

    • At least 4 years of proven experience in the commercial construction industry.

    • Ability to travel to execute projects.

    You will really stand out if you:
    • Have Mission Critical Data Center project experience.

    • Process proven knowledge of complex mission critical MEP systems.

    • Have an established thorough understanding of early turnover dates and mission critical commissioning processes.

    • Experience with critical work Methods of Procedures process.

    • Demonstrate deep knowledge of Microsoft Office Procore, P6, and other management tools.

    • Communicate proactively and effectively, focus on customers, and display a high level of professionalism, honesty, and integrity.

    Compensation:

    The salary range is $100,000 - $130,000. The salary base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission and/or an incentive program.
