THE WORK:
  • You'll resolve complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreements.
  • You'll develop, assign, and monitor performance of OARs relative to assigned construction projects.
  • You'll review status and overall construction project progress relative to submitted construction schedules.
  • You'll review change orders from all construction projects and assesses their impact on the district.
  • You'll assist Regional Directors and other Facilities management staff with bid and contract planning.
  • You'll assess bid specifications according to District needs and probability of completion under stated timeline.
  • You'll review status and monitor variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reporting.
  • You'll review and verify submitted applications for payment and perform overall fiscal management of multiple construction projects.
  • You'll provide functional direction over areas of responsibility including construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control.
  • You'll review and monitor overall administration of contracts for Architects and related consultants.
  • You'll coordinate program activities with other District organizational branches and departments such as the Office of Environmental Health and Safety, Design and A/E Technical Support, Asset Management Branch, Facilities Contract Administration, Inspection Unit, Maintenance and Operations, and local districts.
  • You'll review and resolve disputes related to construction projects.
  • You'll develop and recommend internal policies and procedures.
  • Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • Candidates who meet one of the following combinations for qualifications will be considered for this position:
    • Twenty (20) years full-time paid professional project/construction management experience
    • Ten (10) of the 20 years must be managing large programs with projects having construction values of more than $50 million (not cumulative)
    • Must have five (5) years' experience in educational facility construction, public works or large commercial projects (may include projects outside of California)
    • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a degree in architecture, engineering or construction management
    • A Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) may substitute for the education requirement
    • OR
    • Twenty-five (25) years full-time paid professional project/construction management experience
    • Twenty (20) of the 25 years must be managing large programs with projects having construction values of more than $50milllion (not cumulative)
    • Must have five (5) years' experience in educational facility construction, public works or large commercial projects (may include projects outside of California)
    • Preferred (Not Required): Graduation from a recognized college or university with a degree in architecture, engineering or construction management
    • Preferred (Not Required): A Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA)
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
  • PMP, CCM or related certificates
  • Design Build Experience
  • Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • Experience in Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certified projects and/or the Collaborative for High Performing Schools (CHPS)
  • Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) construction/design processes
  • A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the California State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors
$213,000 - $257,000 a year

Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Virginia or Washington as set forth below.
