    POSITION DESCRIPTION:
    We are looking for a Director of Product Management to join our Business Architecture Group to lead product strategy and platform evolution. This role is responsible for translating company growth objectives and cross-functional business priorities into scalable software solutions that enable revenue growth, operational efficiency, and platform maturity. This is a high-visibility, high-impact leadership role within a fast-growing organization. This role owns product strategy, portfolio planning, and roadmap definition and serves as a key product leader. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, strong operator, and influential communicator who can navigate complexity and ambiguity while leading full-cycle product development. This position reports to the CIO, or another member of senior management that the President of the Company may designate. This position will be based out of San Franciso, Santa Clara, Irvine, CA, may require 20% travel depending on business needs.
    RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Partner with business leaders to understand strategic priorities, growth initiatives, and operational challenges.
    • Translate company and departmental objectives into a clear product strategy and multi-quarter roadmap for your domain. Develop deep domain expertise and serve as the subject matter expert to business and technical teams.
    • Lead problem definition and opportunity sizing, ensuring product initiatives are tied to measurable business outcomes (revenue, efficiency, cycle time, quality, or scalability).
    • Influence decision-making at the leadership level through data, business cases, and clear articulation of risks and tradeoffs.
    • Drive structured discovery with business partners to move from feature requests to root-cause problem statements.
    • Lead the product lifecycle from discovery through launch and adoption while partnering with the business and engineering teams to deploy new products and features.
    • Develop clear product artifacts including problem briefs, requirements documentation, workflow diagrams, and user stories. Act as the business owner in UAT, ensuring delivered solutions meet business needs and operational realities
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to define product requirements and act as business architect; transpose the requirements into user stories. Conduct UAT as the business stakeholder for developed features.
    • Define success metrics and track performance of launched features and initiatives
    • Continuously evaluate product impact and identify opportunities for optimization and iteration.
    • Manage and mentor a group of PMs and Associate PMs within the Business Architecture Group.
    • Establish and evolve product management best practices, frameworks, and operating models across the team.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • 10-12+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Ownership, Business Systems, or similar roles
    • Experience leading product initiatives that support complex business workflows, internal platforms, or operational systems
    • Proven ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment across teams with competing priorities
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect product decisions to financial, operational, and strategic impact
    • Demonstrated success managing products through ambiguity and evolving business needs
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate between business and technical audiences
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret product usage and operational data to inform decisions
    • Experience working in Agile environments and using tools such as Jira and Confluence
    • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
    • Experience in the solar or clean energy industry
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Background in FinTech, construction tech, field service software, or marketplace/platform models
    • 8+ years in relevant Product Management experience
