    Description

    POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Director of Qcells Direct Delivery (QDD) is the end-to-end business owner of Qcells’ direct delivery platform for residential solar and energy storage systems. This role holds full accountability for QDD strategy, operations, and financial performance, operating at the intersection of policy compliance, financing structures, and installation execution.

The position requires deep understanding of Safe Harbor, DCA, and residential financing mechanics, as well as the ability to align and integrate QDD operations across Axia (Installation), EnFin (Financing/TPO), New Homes, and core Qcells product businesses. As the single point of ownership, the Director ensures that QDD scales in a compliant, capital-efficient, and margin-accretive manner aligned with Hanwha Qcells’ North American strategy.
    RESPONSIBILITIES
    Business & Strategic Ownership
    • Define and execute the mid- to long-term strategic roadmap for Qcells Direct Delivery (QDD) focused on residential PV and ESS.
    • Translate corporate strategy and policy constraints (IRA, Safe Harbor, domestic content) into executable delivery and procurement models.
    • Establish clear performance metrics (cost/W, cycle time, gross margin, cash conversion) and drive accountability across the organization.
    End-to-End QDD Operating Control
    • Own the full QDD lifecycle from contract execution through procurement, installation, inspection, PTO, and customer hand-off.
    • Act as the final decision-maker and escalation point for delivery risks, schedule delays, and cost deviations.
    • Ensure consistent execution standards across regions, installation partners, and delivery channels.
Policy, Safe Harbor & DCA Governance
    • Ensure full operational and financial compliance with Safe Harbor requirements, including procurement timing, documentation, and audit readiness.
    • Lead the operational integration of DCA (Dealer Cost Adjustment) structures into pricing, procurement, and payment workflows.
    • Partner with Legal, Finance, and Compliance to mitigate policy, audit, and claw back risks related to IRA and financing programs.
    Procurement & Supply Chain Leadership
    • Lead procurement strategy for modules, inverters, racking, BOS, and installation services in alignment with Safe Harbor and domestic sourcing requirements.
    • Negotiate vendor agreements and long-term partnerships to optimize cost, supply certainty, and policy eligibility.
    • Build a resilient supply chain that balances pricing discipline with execution reliability.
    Financial, Pricing & P&L Accountability
    • Own QDD P&L performance, including pricing governance, cost structure, working capital, and cash flow timing.
    • Ensure pricing models properly reflect Safe Harbor status, DCA impact, and financing constraints.
    • Oversee billing, milestone-based payments, and revenue recognition in close coordination with Finance and EnFin.
Cross-Business Integration (Axia / EnFin / New Homes / Qcells)
    • Serve as the central integrator across Axia installation operations, EnFin financing/TPO structures, New Homes programs, and Qcells product strategy.
    • Ensure QDD operating models are compatible with each business’ objectives, constraints, and risk profiles.
    • Align launch timing, capacity planning, and delivery assumptions across residential channels.
    Process Excellence & Systems Enablement
    • Identify structural inefficiencies across procurement, installation, Safe Harbor tracking, and payment workflows.
    • Lead automation and standardization initiatives leveraging ERP, Salesforce, and internal delivery platforms.
    • Reduce manual processes and improve data integrity, traceability, and audit readiness.
    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience: 12+ years of experience in operations, EPC, supply chain, or business management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within the U.S. solar or energy industry.
    • Policy & Financing Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of Safe Harbor, DCA, residential solar financing structures, and IRA-related compliance requirements.
    • Business Integration: Proven experience working across installation, financing, and product organizations (e.g., Axia, EnFin, New Homes, or equivalent).
    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field.
    • P&L Ownership: Track record of managing or scaling an operational business with financial accountability.
    • Systems & Analytics: Strong proficiency in ERP/CRM platforms, financial modeling, and KPI-driven management.
    • Executive Communication: Ability to communicate complex policy, financial, and operational topics clearly to senior leadership.
    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Experience operating in a global, matrixed corporate environment.
    • Direct experience with residential solar TPO models and financing partners.
    • Hands-on experience managing Safe Harbor execution or audit processes.
