POSITION DESCRIPTION:  

Qcells is seeking a Senior Analyst, Project Finance to support the Distributed Energy capital function across Portfolio Transactions, Capital Markets, and Capital Strategy. This role will contribute to the evaluation, execution, and optimization of asset monetization, financings, and strategic capital initiatives across Qcells’ distributed generation and energy storage platform.

The Senior Analyst will work closely with senior members of the Project Finance team and cross-functional internal stakeholders to support transaction execution, financial modeling, market and portfolio analysis, diligence coordination, and internal decision-making. This position is well suited for a finance professional with strong analytical capabilities, attention to detail, and interest in developing broad experience across renewable energy transactions, capital formation, and strategic finance. The role will be based on-site in Teaneck NJ.

RESPONSIBILITIES  
  • Support execution of asset and portfolio transactions into Qcells’ AssetCo joint venture vehicles, including transaction analysis, process coordination, and execution support.
  • Assist with capital markets and financing initiatives, including debt, tax equity, structured capital, and other project-level or portfolio-level financings.
  • Support capital strategy workstreams, including portfolio planning, capital allocation analysis, financing strategy, and evaluation of new funding structures or investment vehicles.
  • Build, maintain, and update financial models related to project valuation, portfolio sales, partnership structures, debt sizing, tax equity, and other strategic transactions.
  • Prepare internal investment committee materials, transaction summaries, valuation analyses, financing comparisons, and presentation materials for management and external stakeholders.
  • Coordinate and organize due diligence materials, data rooms, diligence trackers, and information requests across active transactions and financing processes.
  • Work cross-functionally with Development, Engineering, Legal, Accounting, Tax, EPC, and asset management teams to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and support transaction execution.
  • Conduct market, pricing, and comparable transaction analysis to support valuation, underwriting, and strategic decision-making.
  • Assist in reviewing transaction documents, financing materials, and advisor deliverables to help ensure commercial consistency and execution readiness.
  • Track transaction timelines, key action items, and closing deliverables to support efficient execution across multiple parallel workstreams.
  • Support development and standardization of internal templates, models, diligence processes, and reporting tools used across the Project Finance function.
  • Contribute to ad hoc strategic, analytical, and execution-oriented projects across Portfolio Transactions, Capital Markets, and Capital Strategy as business needs evolve.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS  
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience in project finance, investment banking, corporate finance, infrastructure, private equity, renewable energy, or other related analytical / transaction-oriented roles.
  • Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, including deep experience working in Excel on transaction, valuation, or financing analyses.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present analysis clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to take ownership of work product and process execution.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel required.
