Job Description: Tool Maker | Lansing, MI Salary Range: $55,000 - $87,000 depending on experience Are you a dedicated professional with a passion for precision tooling and creating high-quality dies and molds? We partner with leading manufacturing companies in Lansing, seeking experienced Tool Makers to strengthen their teams. If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We are collaborating with multiple companies in Lansing seeking experienced Tool Makers. Key Responsibilities
  • Fabricate, alter, and repair a wide variety of tools, dies, jigs, gauges, and fixtures.
  • Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and engineering specifications.
  • Set up and operate conventional and CNC machine tools, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDMs.
  • Perform precision measurements using a variety of inspection equipment to ensure conformity to specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to tool performance and manufacturing processes.
  • Select appropriate materials and heat treatments for tools based on application requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations.
Recommended Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or equivalent work experience
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Strong knowledge of various machining processes, including milling, turning, grinding, and EDM
  • Expertise in using a wide range of precision measuring instruments and hand tools
  • Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations related to tool design and fabrication
