Job Description: Quality Inspector | Grandville, MI Salary Range: $44,000 - $69,000 depending on experience Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for excelling in quality inspector? If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Grandville region seeking Quality Inspectors.   • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify product specifications.
  • Document inspection results accurately, including non-conformances, and maintain detailed records.
  • Initiate and participate in root cause analysis for identified defects and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production teams to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications throughout the manufacturing process.
  • Perform first-article inspections and in-process checks to prevent defects and ensure continuous quality.
  • Verify calibration status of inspection equipment and report any discrepancies.
Recommended Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schecharts, and technical documents
  • Familiarity with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles
  • Ability to perform visual inspections with a high degree of accuracy
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with CMM or other automated inspection equipment.
  • ASQ certifications (e.g., CQI, CQT).
  • Ability to read and interpret GD&T.
  • Proficiency in using statistical process control (SPC) software.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Yellow Belt certification.
