Six Sigma Black Belt - Grand Rapids Area

Six Sigma Black Belt | Grand Rapids, MI

Salary Range: $95,000 - $142,000 depending on experience

Are you a skilled professional with a passion for excelling in six sigma black belt? The Pivot Group Network, a West Michigan manufacturing-focused recruiting group, is dedicated to building meaningful connections in the manufacturing community. We are collaborating with companies in Grand Rapids seeking experienced Six Sigma Black Belts.

The Opportunity

We collaborate with manufacturing companies in the Grand Rapids region seeking Six Sigma Black Belts. These employers partner with us because they want real insight into candidatesnot just resumes. By joining our network, you gain access to roles worth considering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute complex Six Sigma Black Belt projects from inception to completion, delivering significant cost savings and process improvements.
  • Mentor and coach Green Belts and other team members on Six Sigma methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Utilize advanced statistical analysis to identify root causes of defects and variation, and develop sustainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process changes and ensure successful adoption of new methods.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on Six Sigma principles and tools to build organizational capability.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities and championing problem-solving initiatives.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) with a minimum of 3 years experience leading Black Belt projects.
  • Proven ability to deliver significant, measurable financial impact through Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Expertise in advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and experimental design (DOE).
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and lean principles.
  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills with the ability to mentor Green Belts.
