Job description

What To Expect:

Under the general coordination of Team Lead-Blending, the Blending Specialist loads and unloads bulk lube oil, lube additives and grease received and shipped by truck, rail car and tanker ship. Processes additive through solubilizer operation. Aligns tanks, piping, and valves as necessary and completes required paperwork while operating safely following Phillips66 policy and practices complying with pertinent Federal, State and local regulations. Supports Phillips66 Lubricants Division Mission Statement and commitment to Quality policy and Environmental policy. The Blending Specialist will report to our Lubricants Plant in Selmer, TN.

What You'll Do:

  • Loads bulk lube oil and gear lubricant into trucks and rail cars for delivery to customers and performs viscosity testing as required.
  • Unloads bulk lube oil, gear lubricant and lube additives received by truck, rail car and barge.
  • Adheres to Phillips 66 Lubricants bulk lube oil loading/unloading policies.
  • Accurately completes all paperwork necessary for department responsibilities including invoice, bill of lading preparation, and the processing of all SAP or computer-required data entry and documentation functions.
  • Conforming to equipment specifications, correctly aligns piping, valves and pumps for product movement or line clearance and maintains hot box and heated tank temperature control at required settings.
  • Operates industrial lift truck in a safe, efficient and professional manner according to Phillips66 policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for keeping department assigned work areas clean and orderly while constantly monitoring for safety, environmental and operational exposures.
  • Responsible for following the standard operating procedures defined by the TS16949 Quality and ISO 14000- 2015 Environmental systems for the department.
  • With proper supervision, training, and certification, monitoring for quality control and in a safe and efficient manner, assists in all other facets of Lubricant operations including but not limited to the loading, unloading and inspection of package products or containers, the filling of containers, stock rotation, the printing of product container labels, the cleanup and transfer of products, web based training, and participation in scheduled inventory procedures and overtime requirements as warranted.
  • Attend daily Tailgate meetings scheduled for Blending Department.
  • Adhere to support and actively contribute to the Phillips66 VPP and SAFESTART programs

This position has a base hourly pay of $19.01
