To thrive as a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you need a solid background in software development, strong leadership abilities, and experience managing engineering teams, often supported by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with project management tools (like Jira), cloud platforms (such as AWS or Azure), and agile methodologies is typically expected, and certifications like PMP or Scrum Master can be advantageous. How does a Senior Software Engineering Manager typically balance technical leadership with team management responsibilities?

A Senior Software Engineering Manager often splits their time between providing technical guidance and overseeing team development. This means staying involved in high-level architecture decisions while also focusing on mentoring engineers, conducting performance reviews, and facilitating communication across teams. Balancing these aspects requires strong organizational skills, as managers must ensure project delivery timelines are met without sacrificing team morale or individual growth. Regular one-on-ones, sprint planning sessions, and collaboration with product managers are key parts of the weekly routine.

NVIDIA has been transforming computer graphics, PC gaming, and accelerated computing for more than 25 years. It's a unique legacy of innovation that's fueled by great technology-and amazing people. Today, we're tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what's never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world's best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you'll be immersed in a diverse, supportive environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Come join the team and see how you can make a lasting impact on the world.

NVIDIA is seeking a deeply technical and hands-on Senior Software Engineering Manager to lead the development of next-generation AI-driven solutions on the ServiceNow platform to enhance business efficiency and productivity. This role requires strong expertise in platform architecture, full-stack development, and enterprise integrations, along with familiarity in emerging AI paradigms such as Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and agentic AI.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Drive the design and implementation of scalable, intelligent workflows and applications across ServiceNow modules such as ITSM and HRSD.

  • Define architectural standards and ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing platform solutions.

  • Own and manage the ServiceNow platform end-to-end, including strategy, roadmap, upgrades, and overall platform health

  • Establish and enforce platform governance standards for architecture, security, scalability, and user experience

  • Ensure high availability, performance, and stability of platform operations and service delivery

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a global team of engineers, including internal staff and external partners

  • Manage vendors and partners to ensure high-quality delivery, performance, and cost efficiency

  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and automation to enhance efficiency and user experience

What We Need To See:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 6+ years of experience leading and managing high-performing engineering teams

  • 12+ overall years experience with enterprise architecture, IT leadership, or large-scale software engineering and platform management (including SaaS and AI/ML systems)

  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience with system-level development

  • Hands-on experience with test automation, production testing, and automation frameworks

  • Solid understanding of Linux, embedded systems, firmware, and hardware/software integration

  • Deep knowledge of IT Service Management (ITSM) and ServiceNow (HR, Security, Finance modules preferred)

  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, Automated testing frameworks, and structured software development methodologies

  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects and collaborate across engineering, product, and business teams

  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to drive strategy, process discipline, and organizational change

Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Experience implementing enterprise-grade governance for agent systems (controls, audit-ability, monitoring, policy enforcement) in production autonomous workflows

  • Demonstrated wins taking new/open-source agent constructs from POC to production adoption, with clear business impact (cycle time, quality, cost, reliability)

  • Built and scaled an agent platform or agent developer experience used by multiple teams (SDKs, templates, reference apps, reusable building blocks)

  • Clear point of view and real examples on build-vs-use decisions-when to adopt OSS/3P vs build internal primitives-and how to operationalize the choice

  • Deep experience with agent evaluation at scale (long-horizon tasks, tool correctness, reliability testing, automated regressions, offline/online feedback loops)
