Position Overview

To capture the modern consumer and maximize Fixed Operations and Vehicle Sales throughput, we are establishing the Digital Solutions Architect role. This position is designed to transform traditional automotive rooftops into integrated digital ecosystems, leveraging advanced LCD and DVLED display technology, interactive kiosks, and real-time data visualization to drive measurable increases in service upsells, customer engagement, and showroom closing ratios.

This is not a traditional IT role. It is a strategic, customer-facing sales and business development position focused on delivering consultative, outcome-driven digital retail solutions that modernize dealership operations and elevate the customer experience.

Role Purpose

The Digital Solutions Architect will lead the technological and commercial evolution of automotive dealer environments by identifying customer needs, designing tailored digital solutions, and driving adoption across strategic dealer groups and key accounts. The role blends solution sales, business development, and account management, with a heavy emphasis on customer insight, ROI-driven proposals, and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Meet with automotive, retail, QSR, convenience store, and grocery decision-makers at the end-user level to present LG B2B solutions, including hardware, software, and services
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities within assigned strategic and enterprise accounts
  • Develop and deliver compelling customer-facing proposals, presentations, and solution roadmaps
  • Create, nurture, and close sales opportunities while meeting or exceeding revenue goals
  • Build, maintain, and execute account-specific business plans aligned with GTM strategies

Digital Solution Design & Enablement

  • Design customized digital retail solutions using LG B2B LCD, DVLED, and signage platforms
  • Deploy solutions that enhance the customer experience through improved engagement, data visibility, and operational efficiency
  • Collaborate with sales engineers, product management, marketing, and partner ecosystems to tailor solutions to customer environments
  • Act as an internal “go-to” expert for technology design within automotive and BFIS vertical environments

Voice of the Customer & Market Intelligence

  • Conduct market research to identify customer needs, preferences, and pain points
  • Gather ongoing voice-of-customer feedback through meetings, interviews, and structured outreach
  • Analyze customer input and market trends to generate actionable insights
  • Serve as the liaison between customers and internal teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and addressed

Strategic Account Management

  • Develop and maintain executive-level relationships across assigned dealer groups and strategic accounts
  • Manage ongoing customer engagement through both remote channels (virtual demos, video conferencing) and in-person support
  • Support cross-sell and upsell initiatives within existing customer environments
  • Prepare and manage pricing, quotes, negotiations, and logistics communication
  • Deliver weekly activity reports, Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) including pre-meeting preparation and post-meeting action plans

 Reporting & Collaboration

  • The role will report to the Team Leader, Specialty Markets Vertical Sales, with a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Director of Vertical Market Sales
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, sales solutions, sales engineering, marketing, product management, and partner teams at LG Electronics and within the broader ecosystem

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field required
  • Proven experience in B2B sales, business development, or strategic account management required
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to translate customer feedback into solution-based offerings required
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills required
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to operate independently or as part of a team required
  • Willingness and ability to travel 50% or more to meet with customers and partners required
  • Experience with digital signage, AV systems, or enterprise technology solutions preferred
  • Familiarity with automotive retail, food retail, grocery, or AD aggregation business models preferred
  • Strong understanding of GTM strategy, customer feedback methodologies, and data-driven decision-making preferred
Recruiting Range$120,000—$135,000 USD
