Job description

Virtual Design Coordinator | Rock Island, IL

IMEG is hiring a Virtual Design Coordinator in Rock Island, IL, to support project teams by building, coordinating, and maintaining high-quality BIM models that enable effective design collaboration and constructability. In this role, you'll partner with Mechanical and Electrical teams to help standardize modeling workflows, improve coordination, and reduce rework through proactive model management and clash detection.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Set up and maintain project Revit models, templates, and model standards in alignment with project needs
  • Develop and manage model content (including families) to support accurate design and coordination
  • Coordinate with Mechanical and Electrical design teams to integrate and align multidisciplinary models
  • Run clash detection and support coordination efforts to identify and resolve conflicts prior to construction
  • Maintain organized model files, documentation, and project records; support file-sharing and version control
  • Troubleshoot Revit/modeling issues and help keep production moving efficiently
  • Assist with model-based deliverables and coordination outputs as required for project milestones
  • Support training, guidance, and consistent application of BIM standards across project teams

Required Qualifications and Skills Associate degree or certificate in a related field preferred
2-3 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Revit experience required
Strong knowledge and proficiency in Revit
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve modeling/software issues
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

State of Illinois Salary Range: $71,000- $80,000
Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
