Job description
Barco is seeking a Key Account Manager to manage, develop, and expand existing and new Healthcare accounts within Digital Pathology, focusing on Commercial Labs, CROs, and Pharma companies. These accounts operate at national, multinational, and global levels, requiring close collaboration with headquarters and teams in the US.
In this role, you will drive new business and revenue streams across products and services while building long-term strategic relationships. You will report to the Global Pathology Segment Director and play a key role in growing Barco's presence in this specialised segment.
Key Responsibilities - Maximise sales potential and revenue across key accounts
- Negotiate and close framework agreements and large purchase orders
- Present and discuss Digital Pathology imaging and workflow solutions with confidence
- Develop deep insights into customer strategies and business models
- Manage accounts both strategically and operationally to ensure long-term success
- Build strong, lasting relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within existing accounts and acquire new accounts
- Create and execute key account plans using Barco's methodology
- Ensure accurate reporting and forecasting to support financial and logistics planning
- Collaborate with internal teams and suggest process improvements to enhance customer experience
- Analyse market trends and competitor activities
- 5-10+ years of experience in sales, account management, and business development within Healthcare
- Experience in Pathology or Digital Pathology is a strong plus
- Strong relationship-building, influencing, and interpersonal skills
- Existing network within Pathology, large labs, CROs, research, or Pharma is an advantage
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively in a national and global context
- Strong analytical mindset and strategic thinking
- Fluent in English
- Based in the US, preferably East Coast or Central, with willingness to travel up to 50%
- A collaborative team player able to work effectively across departments
