    Hyatt Vancouver Downtown Alberni is seeking a dedicated, passionate, and guest service-oriented full-time Relief Night Supervisor to join our team.

    Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

         Provide the highest quality of service to guest, anticipating and exceeding their expectations and make the most positive impact on guest experiences throughout all aspects of their stay.

         Rotate between shifts in Front Desk, Service Centre and Relief Night Supervisor, handling guest arrivals & departures, guest requests and telephone inquiries, processing In-Room Dining orders and performing administrative night time duties such as the Night Audit.

         Understand and consistently follow all cash handling and accounting procedures.

         Ensure compliance to all hotel policies, standards and core practices

         Maintain positive internal and external relationships, familiarity with local venues, attractions, restaurants, events and Hyatt hospitality standards.

         Maintain accurate guest profiles, special notes and VIP details to personalize each visit and future stays.

         When acting as a Relief Night Supervisor, work in conjunction with Colleagues and maintain hands-on involvement in all aspects of the night time operations and assist where the need is greatest and as required.

         When acting as a Relief Night Supervisor, ensure that all requested reports are completed and submitted punctually and accurately.

         Serve as a true Service Ambassador and exceed service expectations proactively, promptly, professionally and with genuine care.

         Assist in handling of guest complaints and ensure proper follow-up.

         Ensure security and confidentiality of all guest and hotel information.

         Undertake other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required.

    Hourly wage is at $36.57

            Professional verbal and written communication skills and polished demeanor.

            Must be available to work flexible hours on overnight shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

            Ability to focus attention on guest needs while remaining calm, gracious and courteous at all times.

            Minimum 2 years previous work experience in a similar capacity in a luxury hotel setting is an asset.

            Previous experience with Opera property management software and computer literate in Microsoft  Window applications is preferred.

            Food Safe Level 1 and Serving It Right certifications are required. BC Class 5 Driver's License an asset.

    Visa Requirements:  Must be legally eligible to work in Canada. The hotel is unable to assist candidates in obtaining Canadian work authorization. 

    Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): 

         Frequent standing and walking throughout shift

         Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling and lifting
