Job description

The IT/Software Engineer will support the space program located in Huntsville, AL.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object-oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery.
  • Implement experience and/or knowledge of languages such as C or C++.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED:

  • This position requires US Citizenship due to the sensitivity of customer related information.
  • Must have an active/final secret clearance.
  • Must have a bachelor's degree in a STEM related field
  • This position requires 3+ years of recent work experience, multiple positions available at multiple experience levels.
  • Experience must include hands-on programming languages such as C, C++, Python.

DESIRED:
  • Real Time Operating System (RTOS) experience - (GreenHill or VxWorks).
  • Knowledge of Agile Software Development.
  • Knowledge of Model Base Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Previous experience writing and designing software requirements.
  • Previous experience with software hardware integration.

WORK LOCATION:
  • This position is located onsite; some travel may be required.
  • This position offers a 4/10 schedule with every Friday off.
  • Schedules are subject to change based on the requirements of the position and/or customer needs.

  • Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time) and may require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
  • Regular attendance in accordance with an established work schedule is critical.
