Senior Manager, Development - Canada West

Corix

Full-time

Job description

This role is responsible for originating, shaping, and advancing district energy and thermal infrastructure opportunities across Western Canada, with an initial focus on British Columbia.

While leading the origination process, this role will work alongside the VP of Development and collaboratively with project development, commercial development, operations, and finance teams to support advancement of opportunities.

The position is designed for the individual who demonstrates the ability to independently lead market and business development, manage complex stakeholder environments, and advance projects from early concept.

The ideal candidate blends deep technical knowledge (HVAC, utilities, and district energy) with commercial acumen, business development expertise, and a sharp marketing instinct.

Success requires comfort operating in early-stage environments where projects are not fully defined, with the ability to align stakeholders and develop technically and commercially viable pathways to delivery.

Corix is proud to offer a flexible working environment. We embrace remote work, with in-office collaboration guided by the needs of the role, opportunities for development, and what best supports the team.

The starting salary range for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 CAD, with the final salary determined by the successful candidate's skills, experience, and anticipated impact within the role.

  • Qualify opportunities based on strategic fit, timing, and likelihood of success
  • Maintain an active and well-organized pipeline with clear next steps and ownership

Strategic Selling & Opportunity Positioning

  • Develop tailored engagement plans by counterparty, reflecting decision drivers, constraints, and timing.

  • Anticipate objections early and secure next-step commitments that maintain pursuit momentum.

Proposal Development & Commercial Materials

  • Lead the creation of pitch decks and proposals from pursuit strategy through final submission.
  • Translate technical and commercial inputs into clear, decision-ready messages for each audience.
