Responsibilities:
JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Branch Manager 1 is an administrative position that directly supports the Branch Manager in the daily operations of the branch; in addition to branch management support, the ABM1 is also responsible for purchasing and quoting duties within the branch, providing guidance to team members, and assuming additional responsibilities from time to time when the Branch Manager is unavailable.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create quotes to submit to customers and own follow-up from creation to closure, with periodic standardized check-ins.
- Provide direct oversight to the branch when required, including mentoring and training of other employees, and offering input on hiring and terminations.
- Track and coordinate with local team to execute on all work order statuses.
- Manage 3rd party vendor selection process (e.g., cranes, scrap pick-up, etc.), schedule and execute vendor deliveries, and fulfill permitting requirements.
- Researching new vendors and comparing competing suppliers.
- Interaction with the Service Manager and Techs to ascertain details related to procurement of parts that are not clearly defined within the work order.
- Maintain up to date and precise records of orders, shipments, inventory, and reports.
- Maintain adherence to the C&I procurement plan.
- Place standard bulk orders that do not require approval (especially indirect purchases).
- Prioritize work orders to ensure customer SLAs are being met (incoming and backlog).
- Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding missed SLAs.
- Proactively communicate with customers on work order status.
- Ensure smooth daily office operations, including opening and closing procedures, and ensure the office is well- maintained and organized.
- Assist with office reports, sales analysis, and other administrative tasks as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.

Education / Training
- High school diploma with 4 years of work experience in an office.
- Demonstrated ability to document and report information essential for the resolution and communication with both internal and customer.
- Good communication (verbal & written) skills.
