Job description

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Full Stack Developer with 10+ years of expertise in building scalable, cloud-native applications using Java, React (or Angular), and AWS. The ideal candidate will have strong microservices experience, deep knowledge of REST APIs, and hands-on exposure to event-driven architectures and modern DevOps practices. This role also involves working on high-performance distributed systems and contributing to next-generation AI-enabled solutions.

Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and maintain full stack applications using Java (JDK 17), Spring Boot, and React or Angular.
  • Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices with strong focus on scalability and security.
  • Implement API security including authentication and authorization frameworks.
  • Develop event-driven solutions using AWS services (SNS, SQS), Kafka, and/or MQ.
  • Work extensively with AWS services including EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and DynamoDB.
  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab, and/or GitHub.
  • Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance solutions.
  • Support integration of Agentic Gen AI capabilities into applications where applicable.
  • (Nice to have) Develop BI and reporting solutions using Power BI, SSRS, and related Microsoft BI tools.
  • (Nice to have) Write and optimize complex SQL, DAX, Power Query, R, and T-SQL queries for reporting and analytics.
Required Skills:
  • 10+ years of full stack development experience.
  • Strong expertise in Java (JDK 17), Spring Boot, and REST API development.
  • Front-end experience with React or Angular.
  • Deep understanding of microservices architecture and API security.
  • Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, EKS, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, API Gateway).
  • Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, SNS, SQS, MQ).
  • CI/CD experience with Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub.
  • Containerization experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Strong SQL and database knowledge.
Preferred / Nice to Have:
  • Experience with Agentic AI / Generative AI implementations.
  • BI tools experience (Power BI, SSRS, Power BI Embedded).
  • Advanced data querying (SQL, DAX, Power Query, R, T-SQL).
Experience:
  • 10+ years in enterprise application development.
  • Proven experience building cloud-native, microservices-based architectures.
  • Experience working in Agile environments with distributed teams.
  • Background in DevOps practices and modern CI/CD pipelines.
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $130,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
