Overview

CTG is seeking to fill an Infrastructure Analyst III opening for our client in Buffalo, NY.

Location: Buffalo, NY
Duration: 12 months

Overview:
The Infrastructure Analyst III will be responsible for completing activities related to complex installations, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software, along with related infrastructure. This role ensures adherence to organizational values, enabling staff and partners to effectively utilize technology.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve help desk escalations based on previous incident outcomes.
  • Create trending information of system issues to support efforts to address identified problems through analysis.
  • Develop and document procedures for work order and request-based tasks.
  • Resolve identified technical incidents requiring advanced problem-solving; analyze and isolate issues effectively.
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic tools for troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Execute systems maintenance activities following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including patching, health checks, and operating system updates.
  • Schedule maintenance changes to mitigate operational risk.
  • Participate in project work as a member of cross-functional teams; lead the technical team within a project and contribute to design efforts.
  • Provide coaching to less experienced staff on processes and technologies.
  • Complete scheduled evening responsibilities.
  • Document and initiate procedures for maintenance tasks and other needs for reference.
  • Identify opportunities for automation or improvement of SOP and maintenance tasks to enhance efficiency.
  • Understand and adhere to the company’s risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls, identifying risk-related issues for escalation to management.
  • Promote an inclusive environment that reflects the company brand.
  • Maintain internal control standards, ensuring timely implementation of internal and external audit points and addressing issues raised by external regulators.
  • Complete other related duties as assigned.

Scope of Responsibilities:
The Infrastructure Analyst III will work closely with technical teams, project stakeholders, and customers to ensure optimal system performance and support organizational objectives.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
This position may involve leading technical teams on projects and providing mentorship to less experienced staff.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 6 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience.
  • Experience in reading and understanding technical information.
  • Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to communicate technical information within a team and to management.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to manage multiple work priorities.

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of higher education and/or relevant work experience.
  • Certifications or special training in related technologies.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
