Position Overview

The CEO serves as the chief organizational leader and strategist, accountable for mission fulfillment, organizational vision, financial sustainability, and workforce culture. The CEO collaborates with the Board and Executive Leadership Team to ensure efficient operations, organizational impact, and long-term health.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison to the Board, supporting effective governance and strategic focus.
  • Lead the development and execution of organizational strategy aligned with mission and values.
  • Guide the Executive Leadership Team in building operational infrastructure to support growth.
  • Champion a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Oversee strong financial controls, audits, and fiscal accountability.
  • Direct preparation and implementation of operational and capital budgets.
  • Represent the organization publicly, cultivating strategic relationships with funders, policymakers, and community leaders.
  • Lead government relations and advocacy efforts at all levels.
  • Enhance philanthropic giving and oversee communication of organizational impact.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are seeking a CEO with:

  • Strong Financial Acumen: Proven ability to interpret and apply key financial indicators to drive better business decisions, ensure financial sustainability, and maximize efficiency.
  • Business Turnaround Experience: Demonstrated success in taking organizations from loss to profit, including developing and operationalizing strategies that advance organizations to the next stage of growth.
  • Strategic Leadership: Ability to inspire a shared vision, lead organizational readiness for change, and execute breakthrough strategies.
  • Talent Development: Skilled in building high-performing teams and fostering a culture of engagement and innovation.
  • Board Relations: Experience working with Boards of Directors and cultivating relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressively responsible leadership experience in human services or healthcare.
  • Bachelor's degree in human services, administration, business management, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management skills.
