Pennant is looking for a Business Development Manager for one of our top clients in White Plains, New York
 

Business Development Manager
About the Role:
We're seeking a Business Development Manager who knows the commercial construction world — someone who thrives on building client relationships, navigating long sales cycles, and delivering real growth. The ideal candidate has experience working with general contractors, developers, and commercial portfolio owners.
What You’ll Do:

  • Drive growth by identifying and securing new commercial development and contractor partnerships.
  • Leverage your existing network to build a book of business within your first year (target: 3–5 portfolio clients).
  • Attend key industry events and trade shows to build brand awareness and establish strategic relationships.
  • Collaborate closely with our Director of Project Development and executive leadership to shape sales strategy.
  • Act as a connector and problem-solver for our clients—your insights will shape how we show up in the market.


What We’re Looking For:

  • 5+ years in business development, account management, or sales in commercial construction or a related vertical
  • A strong network in the construction/development space
  • Confident navigating complex deals, long cycles, and high-value partnerships
  • Ability to travel ~30%
  • A self-starter who thrives in a flexible, team-oriented environment
