Job description

Assignment Requirements:
Perform IP network device upgrades, review existing design and implement required changes

  • Review current design and build new configuration with upgrade requirement
  • Assemble, configure, install, and dispose of Cisco routers and switches following existing configuration standards and procedures.
  • Perform troubleshooting when necessary to remediate issues in a timely manner.
  • Utilize a work management system for task coordination, scheduling, and obtaining installation approvals.
  • Schedule outages with business owners as required.
  • Manage tasks and provide periodic status updates and progress reports as necessary.

 Experience Required:
Network Design and Management: 
Expertise in network design, management, detailed documentation, testing, problem analysis, and formulating scope and objectives for system changes.
Technical Knowledge and Hands-On Experience:

  • Cisco ASR/ISR routers (EIGRP, HSRP, OSPF, etc.) and Cisco Catalyst switches
  • Cisco Layer 2 protocols and configurations
  • Network security best practices
  • Determining network requirements, developing designs, selecting equipment, and creating Bills of Materials
  • Datacenter experience
  • Addressing Layer 2 and physical layer issues in both copper and fiber infrastructures
