About this role:
The Senior HR Business Partner serves as a strategic advisor and critical connection between human resources functions and business unit leaders, bridging HR expertise with operational excellence to drive organizational performance.
This role partners closely with Sensitech and CST leadership to develop and execute people strategies that support business goals across global regions, translating strategic direction into practical high-impact HR solutions.
The Senior HRBP manages the full spectrum of strategic HR initiatives including organizational design, workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and change management while ensuring compliance across diverse international regulatory environments.
Operating within Carrier's HR Operating Model, the HRBP collaborates with Centers of Excellence and Global People Services to deliver consistent effective HR programs leveraging data analytics and business insights.
The position requires leading complex employee relations matters, coaching senior leaders on talent development, and driving culture transformation aligned with The Carrier Way values and behaviors.
This role demands proven ability to influence executive stakeholders, navigate matrixed cross-functional environments, and deliver measurable outcomes that enhance employee engagement, operational efficiency, and organizational effectiveness across a global employee population representing diverse cultural backgrounds.
This position follows a hybrid schedule, with 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.
Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic HR Execution: Implement HR strategies and programs aligned with Carrier's global direction, translating business needs into actionable HR plans with measurable outcomes that support organizational objectives.
  • Organizational Design & Workforce Planning: Support leaders in executing organizational structure changes, workforce planning, and resource optimization using data and analytics to ensure the right talent capabilities meet current and future business needs.
  • Global Talent Development: Operationalize talent programs including succession planning, leadership development, and skills readiness initiatives to build leadership bench strength and functional capabilities across the global employee population.
  • Culture & Engagement Leadership: Execute initiatives that promote a culture of inclusion, accountability, and performance while supporting change management and employee engagement efforts that resonate across diverse cultural contexts.
  • Cultural Intelligence Application: Demonstrate cultural connectedness by understanding and effectively navigating diverse cultural norms, communication styles, and work practices across the global employee population, adapting leadership approaches to foster inclusive collaboration and mutual respect.
  • Strategic Leadership Coaching: Provide practical coaching to senior leaders to enhance team effectiveness, employee retention, and leadership capability while building relationships of trust as a credible advisor.
  • HR Program Integration: Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence and Global People Services to ensure consistent and effective delivery of HR programs across regions, connecting stakeholder needs with centralized resources.
  • Employee Relations & Global Compliance: Guide interpretation and application of HR policies, manage complex employee relations issues, and ensure compliance with U.S. and international labor laws across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Inclusion & Diversity Execution: Support implementation of Carrier's global inclusion and diversity initiatives by fostering inclusive practices, promoting diverse talent pipelines, and ensuring equitable access to development opportunities across culturally diverse teams.
  • Onboarding & Cultural Integration: Lead onboarding and cultural integration for new hires and leaders across diverse backgrounds, ensuring alignment with The Carrier Way while respecting cultural differences.
  • Special Projects & Transformation: Contribute to strategic HR initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions integration, continuous improvement programs, and operational transformation efforts.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8 + years of progressive HR experience with 5 + years in a senior HRBP or HR leadership role supporting business units.
  • 3 + years of demonstrated experience supporting global business units, multinational teams, or diverse employee populations across multiple countries and cultural contexts.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or related field preferred to bring deeper strategic and analytical capabilities.
  • Current professional certification such as SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources), SHRM-SCP (Society for Human Resource Management - Senior Certified Professional), or GPHR (Global Professional in Human Resources) demonstrating mastery of HR principles and global practices.
  • Experience in technology, transportation, manufacturing, or supply chain sectors providing relevant industry context for CST business operations.
  • Familiarity with Workday or similar enterprise HRIS platforms for workforce analytics, talent management, and HR service delivery.
  • Multilingual skills enabling direct communication with diverse global employee population and fostering cultural connectedness across regions.
  • Experience in unionized environments and navigating collective bargaining, works councils, and labor relations complexities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively across diverse cultural backgrounds, demonstrating cultural intelligence through understanding, respecting, and engaging with people from varied cultural perspectives.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. labor laws, HR best practices, and international compliance frameworks relevant to global workforce management.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders, drive strategic HR initiatives, and serve as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with experience using data, metrics, MS Office Suite and AI/ LLM to inform HR decisions and measure program effectiveness.
  • Exceptional communication skills with ability to articulate complex HR concepts to diverse audiences and facilitate difficult conversations.
  • Experience working effectively in matrixed cross-functional environments collaborating with multiple stakeholders and Centers of Excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead HR programs and initiatives from ideation through full implementation delivering measurable business impact.
  • Experience leading skills transformation initiatives including upskilling and reskilling programs aligned with evolving business needs and digital transformation.

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
