About the Role

Paul Logistics is seeking an experienced and results-driven Carrier Sales Manager to lead and grow our carrier procurement team in Barranquilla , Colombia. This role is ideal for a logistics professional with a strong background in carrier sales, freight brokerage, capacity procurement, transportation management, and third-party logistics (3PL) who is passionate about building strategic carrier relationships and leading high-performing teams.

As the Carrier Sales Manager, you will oversee the carrier sales function, develop sourcing strategies, mentor Carrier Sales Representatives, and ensure freight is covered efficiently while maximizing service and profitability. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced brokerage environment and has experience working with North American transportation markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop Carrier Sales Representatives
  • Source and secure truckload capacity for customer shipments across North America
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers, owner-operators, and transportation partners
  • Negotiate competitive rates while balancing service, capacity, and profitability
  • Develop strategic carrier partnerships to improve coverage and carrier performance
  • Collaborate with customer sales and operations teams to ensure successful freight execution
  • Monitor carrier performance, service metrics, and compliance standards
  • Analyze transportation market trends, pricing, and capacity fluctuations
  • Track team KPIs, carrier utilization, gross margin, and operational performance
  • Resolve service issues and provide proactive solutions for both customers and carrier partners
  • Identify opportunities to improve carrier engagement, procurement strategies, and operational efficiencies
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in carrier sales, freight brokerage, logistics, transportation, or supply chain
  • Previous leadership or management experience preferred
  • Experience working with U.S. domestic truckload transportation and freight brokerage
  • Strong understanding of truckload, dry van, reefer, flatbed, expedited, and LTL transportation
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with transportation management systems (TMS), CRM platforms, and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-volume brokerage environment
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish strongly preferred
  • $80,000 base salary plus performance incentives
