    Job Summary
    Mono County Public Health is seeking a Public Health Nursing Professional to provide a variety of nursing, health education, disease prevention, and community health services. This position will conduct patient assessments and screenings, provide education and immunizations, support tuberculosis screening, coordinate care and referrals, and assist patients in accessing appropriate health care and community resources. The role may include clinic and satellite site assignments, home visits, case management, and collaboration with health care providers, community organizations, and local agencies. This position offers an opportunity to make a direct impact on the health and well-being of individuals and communities throughout Mono County.

    Ideal Candidate
    The ideal candidate is a compassionate, knowledgeable, and adaptable Registered Nurse who is passionate about improving community health and providing high-quality, patient-centered care. Successful candidates will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, sound clinical judgment, and the ability to educate patients and families, coordinate care, make appropriate referrals, and work collaboratively with health care providers and community partners. Experience in public health, community health, case management, immunizations, or communicable disease prevention is highly desirable. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working independently, and able to effectively serve diverse populations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing or Health Sciences and an active California RN license are required.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSAny combination of training and experience which would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the required knowledge and abilities would be:
    • Bachelors Degree in Nursing or Health Sciences is required.
    • One (1) year experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a public health or clinical setting is highly desirable.
