Job Title: Senior Project Manager

Location: Chantilly, VA - Hybrid

Duration: Full-time permanent

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Project Manager to lead critical initiatives, with a strong focus on Independent Verification & Validation (IV&V) testing processes and a solid foundation in business analysis. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in ensuring the quality, reliability, and successful delivery of our projects by overseeing the entire project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and analysis through comprehensive testing and final deployment. This role requires a unique blend of leadership, technical understanding, and an analytical mindset to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.

Project Management:

  • Lead and manage multiple projects concurrently, from initiation to closure, adhering to established methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against baselines.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, implementing effective contingency plans.
  • Manage project teams, including internal staff, contractors, and vendors, fostering a collaborative and productive environment.
  • Facilitate effective communication among all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

IV & V Testing Leadership:

  • Oversee and manage the IV&V testing strategy, planning, and execution for assigned projects.
  • Develop and implement robust IV&V test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business requirements and technical specifications.
  • Lead and mentor IV&V testing teams, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
  • Analyze test results, identify defects, and work with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Provide expert guidance on various testing methodologies (e.g., functional, non-functional, regression, performance, security).
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements during the testing phases.
  • Report on IV&V testing progress, issues, and overall quality to project stakeholders.

Business Analysis & Requirements Management:

  • Leverage experience as a Business Analyst to guide and contribute to requirements gathering, analysis, and documentation processes.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to elicit, define, and prioritize business requirements, translating them into clear and actionable functional and non-functional specifications.
  • Perform gap analysis and feasibility studies to identify potential challenges and opportunities.
  • Ensure traceability between business requirements, design, development, and testing artifacts.
  • Provide insights and guidance on solution design from a business perspective, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
