This position focuses on transforming complex court data into meaningful insights through data analysis, visualization, SQL, and business intelligence.
As a Data Analyst you will be responsible for analyzing complex court data, identifying trends and actionable insights, and developing dashboards, reports, and visualizations that support court operations and performance. You will collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to translate business questions into effective analytics solutions while leveraging SQL, Tableau, statistical analysis, and data visualization best practices to communicate findings clearly and improve business intelligence capabilities.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide meaningful insights into court operations and performance.
  • Explore and analyze data to identify trends, patterns, relationships, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Apply statistical analysis and modeling techniques to evaluate business questions and support informed decision-making.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, combine, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources.
  • Collaborate with court administration, IT teams, data owners, and business stakeholders to gather requirements, investigate data issues, and translate business needs into analytics solutions.
  • Perform data profiling and validation to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of analytical and reporting data.
  • Evaluate existing dashboards and reporting solutions and recommend enhancements to usability, performance, visualization, and analytical value.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data collection, business processes, reporting standards, and analytics practices.
  • Apply data storytelling and visualization best practices to communicate complex information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Support and advance business intelligence capabilities through best practices, reusable solutions, and visualization standards.
  • Guide stakeholders in effectively interpreting dashboards, metrics, and analytical findings.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Five or more years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, data visualization, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience using Tableau to develop interactive dashboards and compelling visualizations.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases and complex datasets.
  • Experience performing data analysis to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and actionable insights.
  • Experience gathering requirements and translating business questions into analytical and reporting solutions.
  • Understanding of data visualization principles, dashboard design, and reporting best practices.
  • Working knowledge of data modeling and the relationships between source data, analytical datasets, and reporting solutions.
  • Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check conducted by the AOPC.

  • Experience with Tableau Server or Tableau Cloud, including publishing, permissions, data sources, extracts, and dashboard performance optimization.
  • Familiarity with data warehouses, data lakes, and modern analytics architectures.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server and/or SAP ASE/IQ.
  • Experience working with large or complex datasets from multiple systems.
  • Experience supporting data governance, metric definitions, data quality, or reporting standards.
  • Tableau Certified Data Analyst or similar certification.
  • Experience with Python or R for data analysis, data preparation, or automation.
  • Experience with exploratory data analysis, statistical analysis, or advanced analytics.
  • Experience developing dashboards or analytics solutions for operational, performance, or executive reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, written, verbal, and visual communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical and technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently while collaborating effectively with stakeholders.
