Job description

OVERVIEW

The Visual Merchandiser Team Lead position is a combination of a management and visual merchandising team member. She/he will be primarily responsible for hands-on training of all store associates regarding the effective display of merchandise within the store, in order to increase our sales potential and maximize sales. The categories include footwear, apparel, accessories, marketing initiatives and overall aesthetics of the store.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Train store staff visual merchandising principles and standards set forth by the Company

Enforce all visual merchandising guidelines and standardsfor footwear, apparel, and accessories within the retail space

Develop partnerships with store management team and identify any merchandise selection, allocation, pricing, and assortment issues

Train and continually coach store associates best visual merchandising practices for all three categories: Footwear, apparel, and accessories

Execute and manage all in-store marketing initiatives and events

Coach management team on identifying opportunities to maximize merchandising space within the store

Train and work closely with store staff

Maintain a pleasing, clean store environment and the integrity of the WSS brand

Reporting: create store visit reports, capture "before" and "after" photos of visual presentations and report on any missed opportunities

u This position involves constant moving, talking, reaching, grabbing, and standing for at least two consecutive hours. May occasionally involve stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. Involves lifting at least 50 lbs.

u Stand or walk at least 8 (eight) hours in each day

u Lift up to 50 lbs. from ground level to above shoulders repeatedly over the course of the shift

u Climb a step stool or ladder

Required Education/ Experience Must be 18 years or older High School or GED equivalent Previous retail, hospitality, or customer service experience a plus
