About The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and proactive sourcing manager to lead the procurement and supplier management of dry goods, frozen, and dairy categories in a food service commissary environment. The successful candidate will develop sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, ensure product quality, and build strong supplier partnerships with a network of broadline distributors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective, and sustainably sourced ingredients.

The Impact You Will Make 

  • Sourcing Strategy Development: Develop and execute sourcing strategies, to reduce costs while maintaining a high quality of ingredient standards.

  • Category Data Management: Maintain comprehensive spend cube, including supply base, pricing, volumes, etc., of assigned categories.

  • Supplier Management: Maintain strong relationships with existing supply partners to ensure timely delivery of quality ingredients.

  • Supplier Development: Identify, evaluate, and onboard new suppliers to meet Wonder’s growing business needs.

  • Negotiation & Contracting: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure competitive deals while ensuring compliance with company standards and requirements.

  • Quality Assurance: Gather documentation to ensure all ingredients meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Partner with FSQA teams to monitor supplier performance and resolve quality issues.

  • Monitor Market Performance: Stay updated on market trends, commodities, seasonal availability, pricing dynamics, and competitor activities to inform purchasing decisions.

  • Risk Management: Mitigate supply chain risks by diversifying suppliers and establishing contingency plans.

  • Sustainability: Support initiatives to source products that align with Wonder’s food values.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with procurement, supply chain, growth, quality assurance, and culinary engineering teams to align sourcing strategies with business goals.

  • Performance Reporting: Track and report on key sourcing metrics, including cost savings and supplier performance.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or a related field / equivalent experience.

  • 7 - 10 years experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management within the CPG, fresh food manufacturing, multi-unit or QSR restaurant vertical

  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.

  • Deep knowledge of ingredient categories, market trends, distribution landscape and supply chain dynamics.

  • Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with ERP systems is a plus.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to travel as needed to visit suppliers and production sites.

As a matter of company policy, Wonder does not sponsor applicants for employment visa status for this role.

Our hybrid model requires 3 days a week in the office. That said, many team members choose to come in more often to take advantage of in-person collaboration and connection. You're welcome—and encouraged—to be in the office up to 5 days a week if it works for you.

New Jersey Salary: $149,000-$157,000 per year.

Wonder uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
