The Senior Financial Analytics Manager is responsible for leading the development, maintenance, enhancement, and governance of credit risk and forecasting models that support the Bank's reserve calculations, underwriting, and risk management activities. This role leads the development and refresh of Combined Bank CECL models, supports Business Credit Center (BCC) Auto Decision and Auto Renewal models, and contributes to Dual Risk Rating (DRR) model development and monitoring. The position works closely with Finance, Risk, Credit, Treasury, IT, Data Management, and Model Risk Management teams to develop analytical solutions that support financial forecasting, credit decisioning, regulatory requirements, and strategic business objectives. The ideal candidate combines strong quantitative expertise, hands-on programming skills, and a deep understanding of credit risk and financial modeling in a regulated banking environment.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Lead the development, enhancement, maintenance, and periodic refresh of Combined Bank CECL models used to calculate the Bank's allowance for credit losses.
  • Manage and process large-volume historical datasets to support CECL model development, testing, and monitoring.
  • Lead support for Business Credit Center (BCC) Auto Decision and Auto Renewal model development and maintenance.
  • Support the development, enhancement, and monitoring of Dual Risk Rating (DRR) models.
  • Apply advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques to forecast losses, support credit decisioning, and improve portfolio performance.
  • Maintain rigorous model development workpapers and documentation in accordance with governance, audit, and regulatory standards.
  • Support CECL, DRR, and BCC model validation activities, annual reviews, performance monitoring, and remediation efforts.
  • Support quarterly and ad hoc CECL production runs, including data preparation, analysis, reconciliation, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Risk, Credit, Treasury, IT, Data Management, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement analytical solutions.
  • Design, develop, and maintain source code supporting predictive models, loss forecasting, profitability analysis, and credit risk management.
  • Communicate model methodologies, assumptions, limitations, and results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in credit risk analytics, quantitative modeling, financial analytics, or related disciplines.
  • Strong experience developing and maintaining CECL, credit risk, reserve forecasting, underwriting, or related predictive models.
  • Extensive experience working with large and complex datasets.
  • Proficiency in SAS and/or Python programming languages.
  • Strong understanding of statistical analysis, predictive modeling methodologies, and model lifecycle management.
  • Experience working within regulated financial institutions and environments subject to model governance requirements.
  • Deep understanding of finance, credit risk, lending products, and banking operations.
  • Ability to interpret business requirements and translate them into analytical and modeling solutions.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex concepts to a variety of audiences.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate and timely results.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Experience supporting both Consumer and Commercial lending portfolios.
  • Experience developing models used for CECL, stress testing, underwriting, loss forecasting, or profitability analysis.
  • Experience supporting model validation activities and regulatory examinations.
  • Knowledge of model risk management frameworks and regulatory expectations.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including Finance, Risk, Credit, Treasury, IT, and Data organizations.
  • Strong stakeholder management and project leadership capabilities.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement scalable analytical solutions.
  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field required.
  • Master's degree or PhD in Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline preferred.
  • Candidates with a combination of advanced quantitative coursework and relevant professional experience will also be considered.

The estimated salary range for this position is $165,000USD to $180,000USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
