Job description

Job Overview

Webster Bank is a leading commercial bank founded in 1935 that seeks a Banking Center Manager to achieve sales, service, and operational goals in the Banking Center. The candidate will serve as the on‑site manager in the Manager’s absence and will lead a team in delivering an exceptional client experience while growing the institution’s market share.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Banking Center Manager with sales, customer service, P&L management, operations, and employee development.
  • Assume responsibility for the banking center in the Manager’s absence, ensuring an exceptional client experience.
  • Meet or exceed individual sales, service, and operations targets.
  • Process routine banking transactions accurately and prepare client applications to open accounts.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospects (COIs) through networking and prospecting to add value to the Webster brand.
  • Use lead‑management tools such as Salesforce to document activities.
  • Support segmentation strategy with existing clients by implementing sales, retention, and other bank initiatives to contribute to growth and profitability.
  • Assist with audits and operational standards; ensure compliance with federal and state laws and bank policies.
  • Meet and exceed branch evaluation requirements.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to colleagues, modeling sales and service processes.
Skills and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of all Webster products and services.
  • Proficiency with branch transaction processing systems.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to support teamwork.
  • Flexibility to work a rotating schedule, including Saturdays, Sundays, and extended hours.
  • Ability to travel to alternate banking centers if required.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED; college preferred.
  • 3–4 years of customer sales/service experience with 1–2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and motivating a team.
  • Knowledge of federal and state banking regulations.
Compensation

$24.00 to $30.00 USD hourly. Actual salary may vary based on experience and location. Position eligible for incentive compensation.
