Job description

Grant Thornton is seeking an accomplished Manager in our Workforce Transformation Change Management practice, providing our clients and engagement delivery teams with project leadership, organizational change management expertise, thought leadership and drive business development opportunities and proposals on existing and target clients for the Workforce Transformation Practice - all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel. Client engagement opportunities include but are not limited to Change Management and Leadership Alignment; Change Readiness; Communication Strategy and Execution; Training Strategy and Delivery; Technology Adoption; Culture Transformation; Mergers and Acquisition Integration; and Corporate and Organizational Transformations.  
From day one, you'll be empowered by the greater Transformation team to help clients make the moves that will help them achieve their vision and help you achieve more, confidently.   

Your day-to-day may include: 

  • Support and execute the vision, strategy, direction of engagement delivery regarding approach, deliverables, engagement outcomes and serve as the subject matter expert on Change Enablement engagements. 
  • Lead project management activities, including planning, execution, status reporting, and risk mitigation to ensure project and client expectations are understood and met. 
  • Effectively present information to large groups and facilitate a variety of client meetings to include routine project meetings, client workshops including problem solving, requirements gathering, and deliverable readouts. 
  • Create a foundational understanding of client operations, risks, working styles, corporate drivers, and adapt to clients' unique cultural styles to drive project success. 
  • Provide guidance and quality assurance reviews on deliverables from supporting project resources. 
  • Support the review and management of budget, resource allocation, and project economics. 
  • Actively support service line leadership with business development efforts including drafting proposals and responses, requests for information and participating in business development interactions with prospects and clients. 
  • Support the development of new client contracts and statements of work.  
  • Manage, develop, train, coach, and mentor staff on projects, assess performance for engagement and year-end reviews. 
  • Demonstrate agility across workforce-related change efforts by flexing between HR transformation, payroll impacts, and HR due diligence activities (e.g., M&A, restructuring, divestitures), adjusting approach and deliverables. 
  • Apply targeted change management experience within specific business transformation contexts (e.g., technology-enabled change, operating model shifts, enterprise programs). 
  • Meet or exceed targeted utilization. 
  • Other duties as assigned.  

You have the following technical skills and qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, Human Resources or other relevant degree required. 
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience required, in a similar consulting practice preferred. 
  • Change management, program management, financial, accounting, process improvement or other relevant certifications is preferred (Prosci, CCMP, La Marsh, PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, CPP, etc.). 
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and capabilities to enhance change management effectiveness. 
  • Targeted business transformation experience, such as ERP implementations, operating model design and transformation, shared services, or large-scale enterprise change programs. 
  • Ability to prioritize, delegate, and foster the development of high-performance teams to lead/support an environment driven by customer service and teamwork to work effectively in a collaborative and dynamic environment. 
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team. 
  • Experience in troubleshooting, organizational skills, ability to participate in resource planning processes based on defined organizational plans, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Experience in culture awareness, communications planning and/or execution, stakeholder engagement, job role design, training planning and/or execution, or other related areas. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel, and Project). 
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Can travel as needed. Typically, 40-50% but occasionally up to 80%.  

The base salary range for this position is between $147,200 and $196,880. Placement within the pay range is at Grant Thornton's discretion, and it is based on multiple factors, including but not limited to, job -related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, progression within the role, geographic location, and internal equity. At Grant Thornton, compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
