Job description

Position Summary...What you'll do...Role summary:
This role is responsible for developing and managing labor, capacity, and cost models that support large-scale supply chain automation initiatives. It ensures accurate, scalable planning by maintaining consistent assumptions and aligning inputs across cross-functional partners, including Operations, Finance, and Engineering. The position drives data-informed decision-making through advanced analytics, automation, and continuous improvement of modeling tools. Responsibilities include enabling scenario analysis, supporting network design and workforce planning, and delivering insights that improve operational efficiency across a dynamic distribution network while supporting key strategic initiatives.
About the team:
Our team sits at the center of Walmart's automation strategy, shaping how solutions are deployed across the RDC network to drive long-term performance. We partner with operations, finance, and product teams to translate enterprise priorities into scalable strategies that improve throughput, cost per case, and service.
Our mission is to determine where and how automation creates the most value, grounded in data and aligned to both near-term execution and long-range plans. What makes this team unique is its blend of strategic ownership and real-world impact-guiding network evolution through strong judgment, cross-functional influence, and a focus on measurable outcomes.
What you'll do:
  • Develop and manage labor, capacity, and cost models that support large-scale supply chain automation initiatives
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, and Engineering to align inputs and ensure accurate, consistent planning assumptions
  • Use advanced analytics and automation to improve model performance, scalability, and decision speed
  • Build and run scenario analyses to evaluate network design, workforce planning, and operational trade-offs
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for cross-functional partners and leadership
  • Continuously improve modeling tools, data pipelines, and processes to drive efficiency and reliability
  • Support strategic initiatives by enabling data-driven decisions across a dynamic and evolving distribution network

What you'll bring:
  • Experience in financial, labor, or operational modeling, ideally within supply chain, logistics, or automation environments
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex data sets and translate insights into action
  • Proficiency in data tools and technologies (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, or similar) to build and improve models and workflows
  • Experience using analytics to support decision-making, scenario planning, and business strategy
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders across multiple teams
  • Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on automation, efficiency, and scalability

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
