To thrive as a Senior Software Developer, you need deep expertise in programming languages, software architecture, and problem-solving, typically backed by a bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field. Proficiency with development frameworks, version control systems like Git, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is standard, and certifications in these areas can be beneficial. Leadership, strong communication, and mentoring abilities set standout candidates apart in this role. These skills ensure that complex projects are delivered efficiently, code quality is maintained, and junior team members are effectively guided for overall team success.

You may also be involved in setting coding standards, conducting code reviews, and helping to plan sprints or project roadmaps.

Job description

Description:

Vector Solutions is the leader in providing industry-focused SaaS solutions that connect content and technology. Vector’s unique product set aims at training and learning management, continuing education (CE), compliance, workforce scheduling, safety management, and more.

Our mission is to empower everyday heroes in the public, educational and commercial sectors to make safer, smarter, and better decisions.

We’re looking to bring on an SMB Sales Specialist to help grow our EHS business at Vector Solutions with a strong focus on new logo acquisition and outbound pipeline generation.

This role is centered on consistency, hustle, and creating opportunities from scratch. You will be responsible for building and managing your own pipeline in the SMB space, proactively reaching out to prospects, and driving new business across Commercial, Education, and Public Sector organizations.

You will run a full sales cycle from first outreach through close and be confident positioning our EHS platform including our LMS and safety training in a way that connects directly to customer needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Own outbound prospecting and consistently build your own pipeline through calls, email, LinkedIn, and targeted account outreach
  • Identify, qualify, and close new SMB EHS customers
  • Run full-cycle deals from first conversation through close
  • Deliver clear, value-driven demos that connect to real customer pain points
  • Hit and exceed monthly and quarterly pipeline and revenue targets
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, competitors, and customer challenges in the EHS space
  • Partner with marketing and sales teammates to maximize outbound and inbound opportunities
  • Maintain strong CRM hygiene so pipeline activity and forecasting are accurate
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth transition after close
  • Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
  • 2-3+ years of SaaS sales experience, ideally in a high-volume outbound or SMB-focused role
  • Proven ability to consistently build pipeline rather than rely on inbound leads
  • Comfortable running full-cycle sales independently
  • Direct experience selling into the EHS industry or with EHS software
  • Strong communicator who is confident with outreach and objection handling
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

What You Can Expect From Us

  • Friendly, open, and casual work environment (ditch the suit & tie)
  • Comprehensive, quality benefits package effective first of the month following your date of hire
  • Matching 401(k) retirement plan
  • Healthy work-life balance with flexible work arrangements and generous time off
  • Educational assistance available for all employees
  • Generous referral incentive program
  • Company social events
  • Philanthropic opportunities

What We Value:

  • Teamwork -Above all, we’re a team. We give and value feedback. We support each other, respect each other and work together to accomplish our common goals and serve our customers. Once we make decisions, we align behind them as a team.
  • Customers First -Our customers’ success is our success. They are why we are here. We work to earn the trust of our customers and always deliver on our commitments.
  • Make a Difference - It's not a job, it’s a calling. We have passion for our mission, for our customers, for our work, and for sharing a fulfilling experience with our fellow team members.
  • Inclusiveness -Uniqueness is powerful. Diversity, equity and inclusion guide how we build our teams and cultivate our leaders, creating a company that promotes a variety of perspectives and crucial conversations, leading to better outcomes.
  • Act Now -We act with urgency. The best time to get something important done is now. We don’t wait and let perfection be the enemy of good.
  • Curiosity -We love a good challenge. We’re scrappy, we stretch ourselves to be the best, ask questions, learn from our mistakes, and are dedicated to continually improving and growing.
  • Ownership -We own the outcome and don’t pass the buck. The score matters. We hold ourselves and each other accountable. We treat company resources like they are our own.
