What you will do
The Senior Tax Accountant is responsible for all tax related items within NRC Health. You will stay abreast of sales tax/income tax changes per applicable states and stay informed on GAAP income tax accounting changes to implement change and create supporting documentation. You will be responsible for tax journal entries, tax estimates for projections, and GL reconciliations. You will be responsible for managing our tax consultants and assisting them in filing the sales and use tax, B&O, and CAT tax return filings. On a quarterly basis you will be responsible for reviewing the tax provision, FIN 48 analysis, and effective tax rate analysis. You will maintain the relationship with all tax consultants and registered agents. Also, you will provide R&D Tax incentive tracking and support, Nebraska Advantage Act accounting and support, review annual tax returns, and prepare required disclosures for 10Q/10K filings and assist auditors as needed.
What you need
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • CPA certificate/license obtained or working towards
  • 3+ years experience with tax-related accounting, compliance, and filings (e.g., sales and use tax, income tax, provisions, estimates, and reconciliations)
  • Experience supporting audit processes and working with internal and external partners on tax and compliance matters

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the base salary range for this position is $90,000 - $121,500, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. Some of our roles offer performance-based variable compensation. Eligibility and potential payouts vary depending on the role and are tied to performance metrics. If you are hired at NRC Health, your final base salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors - we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as a part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer a generous compensation and benefits package. While this position may allow for a work from home environment, candidates must live in the Lincoln, Nebraska and surrounding areas.
