Job description

About Zip
Zip is the AI platform for enterprise procurement - built for humans and agents working together. By orchestrating procurement across teams, tools, and suppliers with the help of AI agents, companies can secure the resources they need to innovate faster than ever before.
The world's most influential enterprises trust Zip, including T-Mobile, OpenAI, AMD, Mars, Dollar Tree, and more. Together they've saved over $8 billion and processed over $500 billion in spend. Zip's team includes product leaders from Apple, Airbnb, and Meta, as well as former procurement leaders from United Health, Sanofi, MGM Resorts, Discover, and NASA.
Backed by Adams Street, Alkeon, BOND, CRV, DST, Tiger Global, and Y Combinator, Zip has raised $371 million, most recently at a $2.2 billion valuation and has been recognized by Forbes Fintech 50, Fast Company's Most Innovative Companies, Inc. Best in Business, and LinkedIn Top Startups.
Your Role
As the Business Value Operations Manager at Zip, you'll sit at the intersection of operations, analytics, and go-to-market execution as we scale our business value function. You'll build the systems, tooling, and data infrastructure that enables a small team of Value Engineers to help Zip's sales teams close transformative enterprise deals. But this role goes far beyond building ROI calculators:
  • You'll shape how Business Value scales at Zip, designing the engagement model, benchmarks, and reporting the Head of Business Value and sales leadership use to run the function.
  • You'll lead the AI-assisted value generation roadmap, partnering with Product, Marketing, and Sales leadership to help scale Zip's GTM playbook.
  • You'll act as a thought partner to executives inside and outside Zip, ensuring our narrative resonates at the boardroom and C-suite level.

This is a role with C-suite visibility for someone who thrives on analytical rigor, operational excellence, and structured problem-solving at scale.
You Will
  • Conduct quantitative analysis, ROI modeling, and benchmarking to define the measurable impact of Zip.
  • Build and present C-suite level business cases to CFOs, CPOs, and finance leaders.
  • Build self-serve tooling for our go-to-market teams, including the operational aspects that make them scalable.
  • Drive internal initiatives: build scalable business value frameworks, train sales teams on value advisory, and codify best practices.
  • Stand up the intake, triage, and reporting layers, including engagement-tier routing, deal triage dashboards, and KPI tracking for the Business Value function.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to our Go-to-Market, Product, and Enterprise Transformation teams.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in Value Engineering, Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Strategy & Operations, or management consulting, ideally with exposure to high-growth B2B SaaS.
  • Demonstrated track record of building and deploying systems and tooling: ROI calculators, dashboards, intake workflows, or playbooks that other teams actually adopted.
  • Strong grounding in financial modeling, data analytics, and structured communication
  • Excellent cross-functional stakeholder management across Sales, Product, Marketing, and Customer Success.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: self-driven, resourceful, and comfortable operating with a blank canvas in ambiguous environments.
  • Experience building a value/business advisory function into a scalable, competitive differentiator is a plus.
  • Knowledge of procurement, finance, or enterprise SaaS value drivers is a plus, but not required.

The salary range for this role is $149,940 - $220,500 OTE. The salary for this position is determined based on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant experience, education, or particular skills and expertise.
Perks & Benefits
At Zip, we're committed to providing our employees with everything they need to do their best work.
  • Start-up equity
  • Full health, vision & dental coverage
  • Team building events
  • Flexible PTO
  • Apple equipment plus home office budget
  • 401k plan

We're looking to hire Zipsters and that means hiring people who take ownership, communicate openly, have an underdog mindset, and are excited to increase the pace of innovation for every business in the world. We encourage all candidates to apply even if your experience doesn't exactly match up to our job description. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workspace where everyone (regardless of age, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, and more) feels like they belong. We look forward to hearing from you!
