Our store offers the right mix of products at a great value every day, and our friendly, helpful staff love to help neighbors make the most of their homes.
Position Summary
The Store Manager supports the Operations Manager by leading daily store operations, ensuring strong customer engagement, and driving sales and profit objectives. In this role, you'll monitor and direct operational processes, coach and counsel associates, and ensure compliance with company policies.
This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on building teams, creating a positive culture, and achieving measurable results.
What You'll Do
Sales Performance
  • Assist the Operations Manager in implementing and monitoring customer engagement strategies to achieve sales and margin goals.
  • Develop in-store promotions and merchandising initiatives.
  • Ensure Ad merchandise is prominently displayed and related items are cross-merchandised.
  • Lead by example on the sales floor, coaching and counseling associates on engagement techniques.
  • Drive store metrics to achieve established goals.
  • Participate in community involvement to grow customer relationships.

Store Operations & Administration
  • Ensure all operational standards meet company policy.
  • Complete weekly staffing schedules to balance service levels with sales objectives.
  • Administer personnel policies fairly and consistently.
  • Evaluate and recommend capital improvements, overseeing project implementation.
  • Maintain safety awareness and enforce operational compliance.
  • Manage payroll communication and documentation.

Organizational Development
  • Assess staffing needs and implement strategies to improve service and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate perpetual inventory with emphasis on the Yellow Dot Program.
  • Evaluate employee performance, coach and counsel associates, and support decisions on hiring, promotions, terminations, and development.
  • Ensure implementation of training programs across all levels.
  • Supervise RMDM processes for prompt return authorizations and credits.
  • Monitor and maintain proper signing and pricing of merchandise.
  • Protect company assets through security and safety measures.
  • Oversee open purchase orders, estimates, and rain-checks for proper follow-up.

Merchandising
  • Eliminate "Top Stock" across the store.
  • Plan impactful ad sets and in-store promotional activities to maximize sales.
  • Ensure merchandise is fronted, faced, clean, and presentable for purchase.
  • Implement plan-o-grams and adjacencies, providing creative feedback.
  • Maintain full stock levels, center aisles, end caps, and bargain bins.
  • Monitor competitive activity and share insights with leadership.

Expense Control
  • Manage store budgets to control expenses and maximize profit contributions.
