The Chief Information Officer (CIO) is accountable for enterprise-wide technology strategy, governance, and execution across Triumph. This includes oversight of infrastructure, enterprise platforms, shared services (TriumphX), Information Security, and partnership with Product/Development functions. The CIO operates as a member of executive leadership, aligning technology investments to business outcomes across Banking, Payments, Factoring, and Intelligence. The role is responsible for ensuring technology delivers measurable value, supports growth, maintains regulatory compliance, and operates with high reliability and security. The CIO serves as the primary link between business strategy and information technology and security execution, with decision authority over enterprise technology governance, investment prioritization, and architecture standards.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING: Enterprise Technology Strategy & Investment
  • Own the enterprise technology strategy and roadmap aligned to business priorities.
  • Partner to ensure all technology investments are tied to measurable outcomes (growth, efficiency, risk reduction).
  • Partner in the evaluation and approval of new technologies through governance structures [Technology Architecture Group (TAG), Enterprise IT Steering Committee].
  • Set enterprise direction for cloud, platform, and modernization initiatives in partnership with the CTO.
Technology Governance, Risk & Regulatory Alignment
  • Chair Enterprise IT Steering Committee and Technology Architecture Group (TAG).
  • Maintain decision authority over technology standards, architecture, and investment prioritization.
  • Establish and enforce enterprise governance frameworks, policies, and processes.
  • Serve as primary interface to the Board Risk Management Committee for technology-related matters.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory expectations across technology and information security domains.
  • Provide day‑to‑day executive leadership for the CISO and Information Security organization, with direct accountability for enterprise cybersecurity posture and partnership with the Risk and Compliance Committee for independent oversight.
Enterprise Service Delivery
  • Lead TriumphX as the enterprise shared services organization delivering:
    • Infrastructure, platforms, and enterprise systems
    • Service desk, IT Service Management, and operational support
    • Security tool and monitoring
  • Ensure systems deliver reliable, secure outcomes.
  • Ensure delivery of a consistent, high‑quality digital workplace experience that enables employee productivity, reduces friction, and strengthens trust in enterprise technology services.
  • Establish and monitor operational performance metrics, including availability, service levels, incident response.
  • Drive Lean transformation for technology to improve efficiency, standardization, and service delivery outcomes.
AI Technology Leadership
  • Partner in the establishment of an enterprise-wide AI strategy and adoption approach, partnering with Risk and business leaders to establish governance frameworks and enable aligned implementation across the enterprise.
  • Establish frameworks in partnership with Risk for responsible AI usage and risk management.
Business Partnership & Executive Advisory
  • Serve as strategic technology advisor to the Executive Leadership Team.
  • Partner with business leaders to align technology capabilities to customer and operational needs.
  • Ensure clear accountability across CIO, CTO, and CISO responsibilities.
  • Support enterprise decision-making on major technology investments and trade-offs.
Vendor Strategy, Procurement & Financial Management
  • Own strategic vendor relationships and contract negotiations
  • Ensure vendor agreements align with:
    • Risk and regulatory expectations
    • Cost and pricing optimization
    • Operational resilience and service performance
  • Manage enterprise IT budget across run, grow, and transform investments
Mergers & Acquisitions (Technology)
  • Lead technology due diligence for acquisitions.
  • Define system, data, and platform integration strategies.
  • Ensure successful execution of integration with minimal disruption and alignment to enterprise standards.

  • Manages enterprise technology budgets aligned to strategic priorities
  • Strong understanding of cost optimization across technology investments
  • Experience evaluating and implementing modern technologies (cloud, AI, platforms)
  • Ability to govern emerging technologies responsibly
  • Demonstrates ability to drive cultural change focused on execution and outcomes
  • Communicates effectively across technical, business, and executive audiences
  • Operates with clear ownership and decision authority
  • Balances strategic vision with operational accountability
EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
  • Degree from accredited college/university
  • 20+ years of progressive experience in technology and/or information systems
  • 10+ years in senior leadership roles with enterprise scope (SVP or higher, or equivalent)
  • Experience leading or partnering closely with Information Security functions
  • Prior experience operating at CIO-level or equivalent responsibility preferred (enterprise strategy, governance authority, or board interaction)
