Job description

Job Description:

Position Title: Facilities Manager

Location: Watertown, SD

Reporting to: Plant Operations Manager

Open to Relocation:No

On-Site/Hybrid/Remote:On-site

Travel Required:0-5%

Overseesthe day-to-day operations of the maintenance department. Evaluates systems or facilities todeterminemaintenance or repairs that need to be performed. Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules. Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversees and performs all inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair activities in compliance with standard maintenance procedures, operating manuals, manufacturers specifications, drawings and diagrams, and federal, state, and local codes and regulations

  • Coordinates and performs regular inspections of equipment and machinery according to operating manuals and standard maintenance procedures toassureoperating efficiency andidentifypotential problem areas.Documents inspection activities andestablishesschedules for review of potential problems.

  • Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in all phases of the plant operation, including work direction or guidance, budgeting, appraisals, etc.

  • Establish short- and long-term schedules, coordinates, assigns, and inspects regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on machinery, processingequipmentand facilities systems

  • Participates with Team Leaders in thereviewan analysis of proposed machinery, equipment, and facilities systems. Analyzes operating characteristics, reliability, and cost-of-maintenance

  • Inspects work-in-progress and completed assignments

  • Assesses compliance with maintenance and safety standards

  • Trains others and personally diagnoses problems affecting acceptable operation of process equipment, machinery,toolsand facility equipment

  • Develop maintenance policies and standards for operations plant

  • Responsible for handling emergency situations or after-hours calls for repair and maintenance

  • Manage vendor relationships, including but not limited to grounds maintenance and janitorial services

  • Adhere to Terex safety policies & Zero Harm Culture, and Terex Way Values

  • All other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 3 years of maintenance experience

  • Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to organize and dispatch multiple small teams to make repairs and perform routine maintenance

  • Requires the ability to train others, develop skill development programs, and review work results

  • Must be able to understand, give, and follow technically oriented oral and written instructions,maintaincompleterecordsand interpret plans, diagrams, operating manuals, and specifications

  • Requires the ability toestablishan integrated and sequenced preventative maintenance plan

  • Ability to read precision instruments and perform mathematical calculations

  • Requires the ability toobserveand follow all safety rules and regulations

  • Demonstrated history of driving improvements and measurable results in a production environment

  • Experience leading process improvement initiatives including knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques

  • Proven management skills in managing technical projects

  • Excellent communication skills. MS Officeproficiency

The salary range for this position is $92,000 to $103,500 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
