Delon Hampton & Associates, Chartered (DHA) is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Manager to work on Potomac Interceptor projects.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this position include leading large diameter sewer rehabilitation projects with project planning and support, designs, construction submittal reviews, coordination with various stakeholders, and management of project schedules and budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field;
- Must have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience in engineering design and management;
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in Maryland and/or Virginia, or the ability to obtain one within six months;
- Pipeline design experience including hydraulic profile and flow rate calculations;
- Pipeline upgrades project experience with trenchless technologies for preparation of drawings and specs, project permitting processes, and pumping bypass systems;
- Familiarity with the client's design standards is preferred;
- Familiarity with project management software and Microsoft Office programs is required; and
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
Candidate must have a strong design background of sewer repair projects.
Candidate must have had experience and demonstrate in the interviewing process how design and construction challenges were overcome/resolved.
Resume must reflect relevant work experience in the USA. Local or regional experience in preferred.
Work Schedule
Hybrid schedule (three days per week at client's office in Washington, DC and two days per week remote)
Working Conditions
Work is performing within a general office environment 90% of the time. Work is generally sedentary in nature but may require occasional standing and walking. Field work is required 10% where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions. Some lifting (up to 25lbs.) may be needed.
