Specs Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Snap Inc. dedicated to making computing more human. The company develops Specs, advanced eyewear that seamlessly integrates digital experiences into the physical world.

Specs feature see-through lenses that place digital objects directly into three-dimensional space, powered by Snap OS, a proprietary, context-aware operating system designed for natural interaction with your hands and voice.

Specs Inc. also provides Lens Studio, a full suite of advanced developer tools that powers immersive augmented reality experiences across Specs, Snapchat, and other services.

We're looking for a Technical Program Manager to join the Specs team at Snap Inc!

What you'll do:

  • Drive programs for a consumer electronic device from concept to delivery as a system engineering project manager

  • Create hardware project schedules that align with product requirements, technical challenges, tooling lead-times, and business needs

  • Communicate with hardware and software engineering, product management, and operations

  • Plan milestones, anticipate setbacks, and support troubleshooting and/or contingency plans

  • Drive best practices and production processes in a fast-paced production setting

  • Document and execute on product specifications and test plans

  • Develop business relationships with external partners and vendors

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or equivalent years of experience

  • 5+ years experience of electrical, mechanical, or hardware project management at a tech or consumer electronics company

  • Approximately 25% travel, including international

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Expert in schedule creation and management for hardware products

  • Ability to design experiments (DOE) for hardware build configurations and hardware build management

  • Proficient with materials planning and lead times for hardware builds

  • Skilled at risk identification and mitigation across hardware

  • Strong motivational leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of interdisciplinary system integration of electrical, mechanical, and software components

  • Experience with project/issue tracking and version control software

  • Experience driving complex programs in a fast-paced consumer electronics environment

Compensation

In the United States, work locations are assigned a pay zone which determines the salary range for the position. The successful candidate's starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. The starting pay may be negotiable within the salary range for the position. These pay zones may be modified in the future.

Zone A (CA, WA, NYC):

The base salary range for this position is $190,000-$284,000 annually.


Zone B:

The base salary range for this position is $181,000-$270,000 annually.

Zone C:

The base salary range for this position is $162,000-$241,000 annually.This position is eligible for equity in the form of RSUs.
