Company Description:
Plastic Molding Technology (PMT) manufactures high precision plastic parts for automotive, telecommunications, medical device, renewable energy, and industrial customers. The primary manufacturing processes are injection molding and thermoforming. PMT has ~100 injection molding presses at its two primary manufacturing locations in El Paso, TX and Centennial, CO (a suburb of Denver).

What you’ll do:
- Manage molds and tooling for injection molding and thermoforming manufacturing process.
- Design and develop molding components to assist with maintaining or enhancing performance of tooling.
- Organize and maintain tool storage activities and tool movement processes.
- Develop and monitor tooling maintenance protocols and schedules.
- Monitor and maintain tool conditions and assist with tool maintenance as needed.
- Evaluate repair needs and conduct repair analyses with accompanying repair plans.
- Communicate with vendors as needed to facilitate proper tool care.
- Participate in Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and evaluation of Mold Flow Analysis (MFA) for new construction of tools.
- Oversight and maintenance of molds and tools utilizing Asset Management in the ERP system.
- Assist with the quoting of new tooling for customers.
- Assist with the movement and setting of molds in presses, as needed.
What we’re looking for:
- Technical degree (Plastics Engineering) or Equivalent Experience
- 0-4 years of experience in an Engineering role supporting injection molding (tooling, quality, design, manufacturing, etc.)
- Forklift certified a plus
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Good understanding of GD&T
- Computer literate including software programs
- Good understanding of Solidworks, CREO, or other parametric modeling software
- Experience with DelmiaWorks IQMS
- Analytical/problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented
- Ability to take on a leadership role
- Works well under pressure
- Ability to work independently as well as in teams
- Ability to build/encourage teamwork and cooperation within work groups
- Desire for continued growth and development
- Possess a sense of urgency while performing tasks accurately
- Strong team player, friendly, patient
- Dependable, self-motivated, strong work ethic, and innovative
