Are you excited by the opportunity to design, code, and deploy automation that delivers measurable business impact?
About our Team
LexisNexis Legal & Professional, which serves customers in more than 150 countries with 11,800 employees worldwide, is part of RELX (http://www.relx.com), a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers. Our company has been a long-time leader in deploying AI and advanced technologies to the legal market to improve productivity and transform the overall business and practice of law, deploying ethical and powerful generative AI solutions with a flexible, multi-model approach that prioritizes using the best model from today's top model creators for each individual legal use case. The company employs over 2,000 technologists, data scientists, and experts to develop, test, and validate solutions in line with RELX Responsible AI Principles.
About the Role
As an AI Automation Engineer, you will design, build, and deploy AI-enabled automation and data solutions within Commercial and Corporate Finance. This is a hands-on engineering role focused on writing code, building integrations, automating workflows, and embedding AI capabilities directly into finance systems and reporting processes. You will deliver production-ready solutions that reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and accelerate insight generation.
Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI-driven automation solutions for FP&A workflows.
  • Write and maintain code to automate monthly reporting production, forecast preparation and consolidation, data validation and quality controls, and first-draft financial analysis.
  • Build and maintain data pipelines to extract, transform, and load finance data between systems.
  • Develop integrations using APIs to connect finance systems, reporting tools, and AI services.
  • Prototype solutions quickly and move them into production environments with appropriate controls.
  • Debug, optimize, and enhance existing automation and reporting solutions.
  • Embed AI capabilities into structured finance workflows, including variance explanation support, automated commentary generation, and anomaly detection.
  • Take ownership of the full solution lifecycle from concept through design, build, test, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.

Requirements
  • Hands-on development experience with Python, SQL, or similar programming languages.
  • Experience building automation scripts, data pipelines, or system integrations.
  • Experience working with APIs and structured data, including JSON and REST services.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently design and implement technical solutions.
  • Experience working within or closely supporting Finance, including FP&A, financial systems, or commercial finance environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to debug and support production automation solutions.
  • Experience embedding AI or advanced analytics into operational workflows.
  • Familiarity with finance systems, cloud-based platforms, and enterprise data environments.
