Project Manager I - Civil Engineering
Land Development & Public Infrastructure Projects
Ripple Effect Consulting (REC)
About the Opportunity
Ripple Effect Consulting (REC) is partnering with a growing civil engineering firm
seeking an experienced Project Manager I (PM-I) to lead complex, multidiscipline civil
engineering projects across land development and public infrastructure sectors.
This is a high-impact leadership opportunity for a technically strong, client-focused
professional who enjoys mentoring teams, driving project success, and helping grow a
respected engineering practice.

What You'll Do

Project Leadership
Lead large-scale and multidiscipline civil engineering projects from planning
through completion
Manage project schedules, budgets, staffing, QA/QC, and client communication
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients and agency coordination
Monitor project progress and proactively address challenges
Technical Engineering & Design
Perform and oversee civil engineering design including:
oGrading & drainage
oStormwater management & hydrology/hydraulic modeling
oWater & sewer infrastructure
oRoadway/intersection design
oErosion control & paving
Prepare construction plans, technical reports, calculations, cost estimates, and
submission packages
Support agency review and permitting processes
Team Development & Mentorship
Mentor junior and senior engineering staff
Promote project management best practices and technical excellence
Lead QA/QC initiatives and improve team efficiencies
Provide technical guidance on complex engineering challenges
Business Development
Support marketing and business development initiatives
Strengthen existing client relationships while helping expand new opportunities
Participate in community engagement and industry visibility efforts
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction, Planning, Landscape
Architecture, or related field
10+ years of civil engineering experience, including leadership/project
management responsibilities
Strong understanding of:
oLand development design
oStormwater & utility infrastructure
oRoadway geometry and grading
oPermitting and regulatory processes
oContract administration and financial project management
Proven ability to successfully manage clients, teams, schedules, and budgets
Strong communication and presentation skills
Preferred Experience
Background in private development projects including commercial, residential,
and mixed-use developments
Experience working with local municipalities and public agencies
Community involvement and professional industry engagement
Tools & Technical Skills
Experience with the following is strongly preferred:
Civil 3D
Microsoft 360
Surveying principles and coordination
Standard civil engineering software platforms
